## What is Chalkbook?

Chalkbook is the class notebook that fits in your pocket. Built for teachers who would rather spend their time teaching than typing scores into a spreadsheet at 11pm.

Set up a class in under a minute, add your students, and you are ready for Monday. Grades, attendance, homework checks and daily notes all live together — no more juggling a paper register, a spreadsheet and a stack of sticky notes.

THE CLASS JOURNAL
Open a class and you land straight in the journal. Mark who is present, late or absent. Record who knew the lesson and who did not. Jot a quick note while it is still fresh. It takes seconds, and it happens while you are still standing at the front of the room.

SEND GRADES TO PARENTS WITH ONE LINK
Parents do not need to download anything. Send them a single link and they can look up their own child's grades in any browser. No accounts for them to forget, no app to install, no phone calls asking how their child is doing. The link shows grades only — your private notes never appear on it.

EXPORT WITHOUT RETYPING
End of term should not cost you a weekend. Export your grades straight to Excel and fill in your school's template automatically. Generate a PDF grade report or a printable class list. The numbers you already entered are the numbers that come out.

A NOTE ON BACKUP
On the free plan your data lives only on this device. If you lose your phone or reinstall the app, it is gone. Pro includes cloud backup — please turn it on, or export regularly. One exception: private notes are never backed up, so they do not travel to a new phone.
