All of a sudden the app shows error and I can’t log in. Tried removing and reinstalling, still won’t work. Does the website need maintenance? ### 2/5 — Very slow and inaccurate app *2025-06-07* You’d think when you’re offered the convenience of making a payment on the app, that the app it self would be functional-well, it’s not! I’ve made the payment twice and it still won’t register that I made the payment. Don’t even attempt with the Apple Pay method, you’ll just be asking for a headache. Ps get better software engineers. ### 2/5 — App won’t work *2025-01-14* Seems like the apps isn’t working when I add my information in to log in. Just resets everything and goes back to the apps face page ### 2/5 — “Iffy” at best *2024-12-29* I have been using the app for a while to help pay my bills and track my usage. The app is not always accurate when calculating my own bill. I will get the data from the app, for my usage for the month, and I will calculate how much I should owe and majority of the time they charge me an extra $3-$10, and once in a blue moon it will be $3-$10 less. The app is not as accurate is it should be and some times it has difficulty loading for long periods of time. It will take 2-6 hours before I am able to check my usage, and the transfer service button never loads, or works. How ironic… All in all, I rate the app 2 stars and is could use some updates or patches to fix some bugs that it has. ### 2/5 — Face ID does not work *2024-02-08* The app continues to ask about enabling Face ID but never enables after logging in to the app. It just says and error occurred. Login Passwords that work on the website don’t work on the app, haven’t been able to login into the app to see my account info. Frustrating, even deleted the app and reinstalled just to get the same results. ### 1/5 — Can’t even log in. *2025-07-30, version 1.15.5* No point in having an app if you can’t even log in. ### 1/5 — Awful interface *2025-07-10* Loaded on my iPad Pro, the display is tiny and keyboard is ridiculously small with no backspace key. I tried using the app for < 3 minutes and deleted it. ### 1/5 — Login always an issue *2025-01-14* Had the app for a while and the Face ID never works… not really the end of the world but then I log in and it’s a 50/50 chance that the app might open might not. The previous versions suffered from sluggish performance and inconsistent login flows, but the optimization here is night and day. Loading payment methods is now near-instant, and the overall navigation feels premium. Usage information comes from Smart Meter Texas. They had an update that is causing data delays. Our teams are working hard to resolve the issue so data again refreshes more frequently. Thanks for your continued patience while we work to resolve this issue. ### 3/5 — Not as good as your site *2023-10-10* I’ve been utilizing your site to track my daily and weekly usage and cost, so was glad to see there’s now an app. The app is a little more convenient, but it only shows usage and not projected cost. It would be great if that were added. Until then, I’ll just keep the site bookmarked and use that. **Developer response:** Annoyed in Dallas, thank you for your feedback. We are working to add bill projections to the app. Thanks for your patience while we continue to add features and make enhancements. ### 2/5 — No longer works for the one thing I use it for *2026-07-19* I really only use this app to track my daily electricity consumption. And that hasn’t updated in almost 2 weeks. This is unacceptable. Yes, I can get that info via mobile browser but that shows the data in a way that’s too small to easily view. I contacted customer service about this a week ago but, as expected, that yielded nothing. So many pages never load, buffering indefinitely. Payment page is often laggy, and again loads forever. If it wasn’t for the email receipts, I wouldn’t trust that my payment has gone through. ### 2/5 — The most unreliable app ever *2026-03-05* The only reason I renewed with Champion Energy is because they had this app. Well next time it comes up to renew, I will ignore the app — it has become totally useless. The daily consumption number has not been updated in 9 days. Someone is asleep at the wheel. ### 2/5 — Happy customer *2025-09-12* Champion Energy is great but their APP is very poor. It will not allow me to log into my account so I have to manually navigate to the Web Site to log in. ### 2/5 — Should be better *2025-08-03* The app would be great if it loaded faster … the usage section is what I want to see for tracking how much electricity I have used … but, it doesn’t always load — you only get the rotation icon that makes you think it’s loading.
