I would suggest maybe including the clinic name with the doctors and potentially compressing this app inside the OG VA app. All in all, the app delivers what it’s marketed to do, be used to locate providers. All the low reviews complaining about things unrelated to this app should be avoided. This app isn’t meant to look at your claims, update account information, or vent about your frustrations with the CHAMPVA process 🙄 lol. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback! ### 1/5 — Completely useless *2026-02-04* What is the point of this ap? I may as well call the VA and be on hold for 47 minutes. It is literally useless. Don’t waste your time. Or…better yet…download it and see for yourself how pointless it is. I would love to have an ap to manage my account!!! That’s the whole point! You can do absolutely nothing on this app. When you call them on the phone it’s an hour and a half or more wait. There’s not that many 100% disabled veterans that you should have to wait over an hour and a half or more to speak to a representative update your healthcare. In order to utilize it shouldn’t be you have to have the correct healthcare so when it switches the only way to do it is to fill out a form which is ridiculous or you have to call them. This app does not have the option for you to update anything which it should. Don’t waste your time and don’t waste your memory on your phone on this piece of junk fake after the government pretended to want to help veterans with.. **Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your feedback. While it does not currently support updating personal healthcare information, we are actively working toward improvements in future updates and appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns. ### 1/5 — Worthless App *2025-12-23* Complete waste of time installing this app. It’s just as bad as the website and has zero ability to view and manage your account. Going back to waiting on a 7 hour callback from the ‘help’ line. **Developer response:** We appreciate you reaching out and we’re sorry to hear the app does not currently meet your needs. The CHAMPVA app was recently expanded to include information for additional VA health programs, and its main purpose is to help users check whether a medical procedure, device, or medication is covered under CHAMPVA, which is important for over 800,000 beneficiaries. The app doesn’t currently support contacting customer service or managing accounts, but we understand the need and are working to add these types of features in future updates. ### 1/5 — No one picks up their phone *2025-11-18* My wife is 13 weeks pregnant and classified as a high risk pregnancy so it is imperative she gets seen by a provider. The way it’s looking I’ll probably have an at home birth by the time Champ VA gets back to us. 40 min of waiting on the phone and the only way I might get in touch with someone is by putting in I am a healthcare provider just for the system to give me a call back. I called at 10:20 EST it’s now 11:00 and I’m leaving this review. I will update this review to find out who I can leave a complaint with to get this fixed. **Developer response:** Thank you for sharing this. We are so sorry for what you and your wife are dealing with, especially during a high-risk pregnancy when every minute is important. We understand how frustrating it is to wait that long without getting through. We do want to be transparent that the purpose of the app is to check whether CHAMPVA covers a specific procedure, medical device, or medication, which is important for over 800K beneficiaries. It isn’t connected to CHAMPVA’s phone system and can’t influence call center operations. A refreshed logo is also on the way soon, so we hope you’ll check back after the update! ### 1/5 — Phone services *2025-10-02* I have been working on champ VA services for over a year and have never been able to get through on the phone without waiting seven or eight hours for a return call. My problems with my account requires that I speak with someone and I find that almost debilitating when we can’t get through to anyone or go online to see what is going on with my account. If we can’t have access to a service representative in a reasonable time, can we at least have access to our account so we can correct errors that are on the system. My hands are tied. I have a claim that hasn’t been paid from last December after various attempts billing. I find that somebody had in the system that I had another insurance that I did not have. I can’t fix it and I can’t get a hold of anybody to fix it. My complaint. Please advise, better yet, give us access. **Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your feedback. The few features it has don’t work—ever. Trying to find a provider is a joke; the search is broken, and the results are outdated or nonexistent. Don’t even bother trying to get up-to-date info. It’s always outdated or flat-out wrong. Every time I’ve tried to use it, it’s just been an endless loop of frustration. Typical VA garbage that’s half-baked and full of bugs. This app is a waste of space—fix it, or just scrap it entirely. **Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. It doesn’t allow you to check status, submit claims or anything related to your medical benefits. It’s very generalized and everything on this app you can google for yourself.
