Ask me nonsense questions that didn’t go through their brain. I’m in China and the Changi pay function has issues as it doesn’t load at all and all other functions are fine. I’m in a middle of a meal and need the payment rectified immediately. The agent actually asked if I’m connected to internet. Like what? If not how am I talking to you? Every reply took more than 5 min although I said it’s urgent. End of the day tell me they can’t do anything coz live agent has no IT knowledge ask me to write in. Super useless and waste time. Never using it again ### 1/5 — Cooloff period is dumb for people who are travelling *2025-10-18, version 3.25.1* I just reinstalled the Changi app because I heard that it works with Alipay+ overseas, but was faced with a 12 hour cooldown, which meant I was stuck in an awkward position of not being able to use it overseas in store. I don’t even have any money in the wallet, so why is it restricted? Changi (or MAS if they’re mandating it) needs to think more critically about use cases. We aren’t paying you scholars tens of thousands of dollars a month to inconvenience us, and it doesn’t protect our security if my wallet has a zero balance to start with. ### 1/5 — Not fit for purpose *2025-10-15, version 3.25.1* This is a terrible app. When people download an airport app, what they want is a map and info guide. They are not looking for marketing promotions. The old iChangi app put the useful information up front. With this app, I have to dig around a lot of menus just to find a map. If you want to display marketing messages and ads, fine. Put those on a separate page for promotions. The first thing the user sees when they open the app should be the quick reference info - how to get around the airport, what time the flights are. You can put the promotions and events information somewhere else. ### 1/5 — Forced Installation *2025-06-08, version 3.22.1* I was forced to install this app, just to use kids play area. I mean why should I install an app in order to let my child have some fun time !!! ### 2/5 — No map - what’s the point *2025-06-03, version 3.22.0* Of all the functionality needed in an airport app, surely a map is in the top 3 requirements, but it doesn’t exist here. ### 1/5 — Issues with refunds *2025-05-27, version 3.21.0* Went China and used this app. 80% of the merchants got no issues but some of the merchants, the app will deduct your wallet but show transaction not through on merchant side, hence will need to pay again. Dispute took 6 months, and unresolved from Dec till now. Changi App staff told me to dispute with WeChat, pushing the blame and ball to other court instead of refunding the amount. Very very disappointing and never recommend anyone to use this app. Better to use Alipay in China. Make sure do not use Changi App, Alipay is much better and faster. ### 2/5 — App needs to refresh and update just like our airport *2025-05-24, version 3.21.0* This app doesn’t seems to show much of an upgrade or changes from pretty much years ago. Even flights saved, still has no proper notifications, have to go into the details myself to find out any changes etc. Why can’t you guys upgrade to show on Home/Lock screen those saved flights etc so it’s easier to check ### 1/5 — Unable to withdraw money from liquid pay *2025-05-13, version 3.21.0* Not only was I unable to transact with the liquid pay top up. I am having trouble logging into the liquid pay account in order to withdraw the money I added … I don’t think it was made clear that one would have to install the liquid pay app in order to log in and withdraw what we topped up via the Changi App. The customer support and service also seems non existent … I heard only back once on email and it was someone asking me for sensitive personal information like copies of IC and proof of address, which maybe AML related , but I have not heard back for days. Pls review your partnership with liquid pay. Because of this I will pretty much advise anyone against using Changi app for the liquid pay function which is supposed to support alipay+. Despite multiple attempts, the scroll bar would not allow selection of Australia, kept rolling automatically to cocos islands. Bot is not smart and unable to provide specific reason why the receipt is rejected. The manual claim process asked many questions which are aimed at deterring people from submitting the receipts manually. The mobile app (Apple) has a verification slide bar which conflicts with the Apple back feature which renders the receipt form submission impossible, making submission by website the only way to submit receipts. Wasted a lot of time on a feature which would have taken 10 seconds to complete by providing a simple receipt upload function like other mobile apps with receipt submission function. ### 1/5 — Poor app, poor customer service *2026-04-11, version 3.28.2* Forces me to update app after a week, then couldn’t retrieve my account, forcing me to to forego using the points / voucher I accumulated. Also user-unfriendly app, can’t find info on which outlets can redeem points. No one at customer service desk in Jewel. Contact person at online customer service very poor service, gives list of participating outlets but incomplete info, then reveal complete info after customer went unsuccessfully to redeem points.
