## What is Chansee?

Chansee helps you reconnect with a person you crossed paths with in real life but didn't get the chance to exchange contacts with. It's not a dating app, it's not about swiping, and it's not a catalog of profiles – it's a specific moment and your chance to follow up on it.

HOW IT WORKS
• Board – post a note about who and where you saw someone. The note is anonymous and never contains your name. If someone recognizes themselves, they can reach out – showing you their name and photo – and you decide whether to connect.
• Encounters – when two people who both have Chansee walk past each other, the app remembers it. You'll see who you crossed paths with and can signal interest. The other person decides whether to connect.
• You're in control – no one can reach you without your consent. A connection only happens when both sides agree.

PRIVACY AND SAFETY FIRST
• No public profile and no browsing of people – you only appear where there's a real connection.
• A board note never contains your name.
• Phones exchange no personal data over Bluetooth.
• Every post and message can be reported; content is moderated and we act on reports within 24 hours.
• Anyone can block another user at any time.
• The app is intended for people aged 18 and over.
• You can delete your profile and everything you've written at any time.

Chansee – your chance to meet someone again.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

• New ⓘ explainers on each tab — how the Board, Encounters and Messages work, in a few clear lines.
• Friendlier copy throughout — say hi to the "Random passerby".
• Updated Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
• Polished typography and plenty of small fixes under the hood.

Thanks for giving chance encounters a second chance.

• Minor fixes and performance improvements

### 1.0.6 — 2026-07-21

A big Chansee update!

• Connection requests — whoever reaches out (with a wave or "That's me!") shows you their name and photo before any chat opens. You decide whether to accept.
• Chat without waiting — once a request is accepted, you see each other's profiles from the first message. No message limits.
• One board for the whole country — notes are no longer split by city, so you see them all.
• Longer notes — up to 500 characters, so your story fits.
• Share a note to Instagram Stories — help it find the right person.
• Faster sign-up — only the essentials are required, the rest is up to you.
• Redesigned dialogs, a new "How Chansee connects you" explainer, text polish and bug fixes.
