It would be great like most RPG games, if not all, typically would have the feature that allows you to manually reorder gene skills. I know I should have to leave the review while this was new when they released this game, but I doubt they would come back to update this game… this is absolutely the best game and I still plan on playing it again for old time’s sake. ### 4/5 — Good Game, but…. *2025-04-26, version 1.2.2* I just wish Square Enix brought the other Chaos Rings back for purchase. Oh well, maybe someday my dreams will become a reality. ### 4/5 — 🚨Please Bring Back Chaos Rings I, Omega, and II! 🚨 *2025-03-18, version 1.2.2* Square Enix, I’m a HUGE fan of your games! 🎮❤️ Chaos Rings III is absolutely amazing on iOS & Android! 🙌 The recent PSVita update with multi-language support was 🔥✨—but for some reason, Chaos Rings III in the Prequel Trilogy on Vita doesn’t have that same support. 🤔💔 More importantly, I (and MANY others) desperately miss the original Chaos Rings, Chaos Rings Omega, and Chaos Rings II! 😭💖 These were some of the BEST mobile RPGs ever made! 🎭⚔️ Yet now, they’re completely unplayable because they haven’t been updated. 🚫📵 With no way to experience them on iOS or any modern consoles, they’ve been lost to time… and that’s heartbreaking! 💔⏳ PLEASE consider updating them for current iOS versions 📱🔄 or porting them to modern platforms like Switch, PS5, or Steam! 🎮🚀 These games deserve to be played again by new and old fans alike! 🙏✨ Thank you for all the incredible RPGs over the years! 💖 This fan is still holding out hope!! 🌟🔥 #ChaosRingsForever ### 4/5 — it could be better *2024-04-06, version 1.2.2* The game is good but it would be perfect if it had these things: record the game with iCloud, translation into Spanish and support for controllers ### 5/5 — Backbone Support *2023-10-20, version 1.2.2* Please allow backbone controller support for this game. I like the characters and battles though the characters should have a zoom out option when outside battle as the camera is close to them. I did appreciate the Christmas sale and bug fixes. The game has a nice prologue that devolves into fetch quests/mobile style bonuses but the weakness system is pretty good. ### 5/5 — Still brings a smile *2021-09-20, version 1.2.2* I just started a replay of this game after so long and man I’m just really enjoying it. Even though the screen size and resolution does not benefit my iPhone 11 Pro max and the frame rate gives me eyesore, I still love this game as much as I remember loving it the first time. Total nostalgic feelings for old JRPG games like Final Fantasy X, Dragon Quest VIII and Kingdom Hearts. Really wish they made more like this… I’d love to see a sequel. ### 5/5 — Please port this game, Square Enix. *2021-08-30, version 1.2.2* I’ve been playing this game for awhile now, and there’s a lot of quality put into a single GB of data. The music, the art, the story, the characters, it’s all amazing. I’m shocked this much content is relegated to a one or two GB of data. The game is very unique, all things considered. This game is a must buy, whether or not it’s on sale. I just ask that Square ports this game. It needs to shine on other platforms; It did on the Vita. Noticed the music was not playing at all on day 6. Backed up iPhone 11 Pro via iTunes. Uninstalled. Reinstalled. Restored iPhone 11 Pro via iTunes. Music was restored for about 10 minutes of gameplay. Requested Refund - Music can make or break a game and sets the mood throughout. Disappointing ### 1/5 — Expensive lesson *2020-05-20, version 1.2.2* Game won’t download. Apple won’t give a refund. Developer won’t give support, or a refund. The download from the App Store, $27.99 +tax, gives you the intro and a level. Then you are prompted that you need to download an episode to continue. It hangs and freezes the app. Developer says “delete and reinstall”, so basically, “play the intro again”. Same result. Got scammed. ### 1/5 — Do not buy this on iOS! *2020-02-22, version 1.1.1* This game has a screen error that makes the game unplayable that has not been fixed for going on months now that iOS 13 released. I was really enjoying this game and getting into the cool storyline so it’s very disappointing to see what would otherwise be a 5 star rating sit so low. So I spent £20 on it, only to open the app and for the entire screen to be out of frame, only half the game being visible and all the buttons being out of sync. However I contacted Apple and they provided a refund. Be warned: this probably won’t work on iPhone X and beyond. The only thing I would change is to make it easier to level up and the battles not so hard. I level up multiple levels so I’m at least a level or two above the bosses but still get my butt beat like I was under leveled. Also I would love to see this game come to consoles like the Switch and Switch 2 and the PS5 because I think this game would be even more amazing to be able to play it on a bigger screen!! I’ve played Chaos Rings 1-3 on mobile and would love to have the chance to play them again on consoles :) ### 5/5 — Severely Underrated Series *2026-05-23, version 1.2.2* Chaos Rings is an extremely underrated series. It’s a shame the other games in the series have been pulled from the app store. The games all have incredible stories (reminded me a bit of xenoblade but with a somewhat darker tone) with incredible depth and devastatingly powerful plot twists. The battle system can be a bit repetitive like any older turn based rpg but overall pretty fun. The music in the series is generally excellent. This is probably my least favourite in the Chaos Rings series, but that’s not saying much because it was still incredible. You’ll notice almost immediately that they originally designed it (poorly) to be a gacha game and later realized it didn’t really work that way. But it’s a fun ride with a cool story and interesting strategy and in my opinion gorgeous world and interesting characters.
