I’ve used it for years. BUT… Steven Romej is TERRIBLE when it comes to customer service, despite his website in which he claims to address EVERY concern personally. I’ve written to him (on HIS email form) numerous times and he has NEVER returned my emails. That would put it in a class by itself which would make it better than Simplenote and others in that category. But, i just purchased a new iPad Air and I’ve lost the ability to lock my journals. I’ve tried to contact Steven, but I’ve yet to get a response. Trying to find another app. Would really like to get back into this app - Help! Seems we are expected to buy the new apps clearly designed to completely replace old ones. Well, no more. I want a single stable app for my journaling. I’ve gone over to My Wonderful Days, has a great track record. ### 3/5 — Loved it but now I am locked out! *2019-03-11, version 2.0.0* Loved the app for writing - but I have forgotten my passkey and there doesn’t seem to be a ‘forgot password’ workaround? ### 2/5 — Developer no longer supporting *2017-09-18, version 2.0.0* Sadly, it appears the developer of the App is no longer supporting it. The age of reviews also is telling. I have emailed 3 time seeking advice on how to restore via backups. No reply. A Pity as the app interface is quite nice. I now use Day One which has the same features and more. ### 3/5 — Disappointed *2017-06-08, version 2.0.0* Very nice looking app, but I'm so disappointed to discover it does not sync. You can "backup", or you can export. But entries made on your iPhone do not sync to you iPad, or vice versa. And without a sync mechanism you can forget about viewing/accessing/editing on your desktop. Too bad. ### 3/5 — Okay *2017-05-15, version 2.0.0* Purchased this as I thought it would be similar to Stampnote, another of this developer's apps and an awesome app that hasn't been updated for years. It's okay, but has two issues: (1) no time is recoded - only the date, and (2) the PDF looks horrible with only half the page printed. ### 4/5 — Helpful app *2017-01-07, version 2.0.0* I use this app to jot down my story ideas. It is simple and helpful. I do have to admit that the new design and color are hard on the eyes. Please consider allowing customization. Keep up the wonderful work. Thanks! ### 5/5 — Oh My, Wowee *2016-12-27, version 2.0.0* Wow, the developer has gone and done it now. A note writing app, with separate files, multiple fonts, different colours. Which can be imported into my Kindle library, email, iCloud Drive, Apple notes, everywhere or so it seems! This has just raised the bar now. I just have to repeat that again as I can't quite believe it. A note app that imports into my Kindle book library! Wow. I write every day. at the end of the year, I like to dump my journals to my computer using explorer on my Mac. Now this feature no longer exist on the app. I can no longer do that and it makes the app completely useless for me. It only allows you to output one page at a time. They have an archive feature, but it outputs in its own format, which is useless. ### 1/5 — Still not fixed! *2020-07-17, version 2.0.0* I have downloaded this app like three times, hoping it problem has been fixed but I see it’s still there. So frustrating! The only trouble I have with this app is that the date at the top left corner and the first five or six lines of writing never seems to show. I have been reading the reviews and see that I am not the only mother this has happened to. Apparently there a quite a few of us who have used this app to record precious memories, only to have them all stolen! I have used this app for six years. Kept a journal about my daughter’s baby days and childhood. Recently allowed an update to our iPad, and everything is gone! My husband and I have spent hours trying to recover, and yes, we do back up our iPad. Never happened when we updated before, but this time I noticed that the icon changed, so the app itself has undergone some updating, or in other words Ruining! I am still hoping to recover my journal, but we are having to spend a lot of our precious time. Should not happen! Today, I tried to record another entry, figuring i could email to myself for safety. I spent half an hour, that I don’t have, detailing a memory, then pressed the Done button and the whole thing disappeared! Can not find it anywhere. Was a good app for years, and then they destroyed it. So angry and heartsick. It's the perfect note-taking journal app. I especially love the search-ability feature, which lets you find anything you've written, without having to have entered keywords. I wanted to be able to organize my notes into different books, and this does that wonderfully. The latest update was nice. I would love the ability to highlight and italicize.
