Keeps telling me “Developer needs to update this App for it to work with this iOS!” So developer, have you just decided you no longer want to update this App or are you working hard on the update? Maybe it’s like my teacher would say years ago “are you working hard on the update or hardly working on it at all?” I can always go and look for other Apps that do what this one used to do, but I would really like to have this one work again. Online searching likewise provided no solution. NEW: Purchase options include a reduced cost for veterans (among others). But when you select that option, you are still charged full price (4 times the amount). I can understand the need for proof, but if you have no way to verify - DO NOT PRETEND to offer a lower cost. ### 4/5 — Essential *2017-06-30* Find the character or symbol you need and tap it. It's copied to the clipboard, from which you can insert it into your document. iPhone's clipboard, unlike Microsoft's computer clipboard, seems to hold only one item at a time. So if you have to insert more than one character, you have to go back and forth between the app and your document until your document contains all needed characters--then you can copy them from inside the document for reuse in that document. This can be clumsy & slow going sometimes. Hence 4 stars not 5. But this app has never failed to deliver the characters I need--subscripts, superscripts, math symbols, Greek--material needed by serious users. Sad that this material was (I suppose) ignored by (or unknown to) some developers at Apple, who (I imagine) dropped out of college instead of growing their minds. Can't Apple buy this app and thus integrate its software, making it accessible from Settings > General > Keyboard > Languages? ERHmd ### 4/5 — Good app!! *2017-04-08* I've used this special symbols app for probably about 3-4 years. It's very easy to use (just copy & paste), & it's free! However, for $.99 you get about 4 times as many symbols, so it's definitely worth it. I LOVE all the choices for crosses!
