A perfect example of how poor the infrastructure is for EVs. The old RFID cards needed to use the chargers are no longer being issued, nor does the BP pulse app work. Managed to somehow download the app and generate an account, but then when I tried to enter my card details (even tho it was supposed to be a free charge point) the app has a major bug, the start date on my card is 2020, but the drop down menu doesn’t have anything past 2019 for a start date, so couldn’t register a card, so couldn’t charge my car. Please sort this out… ### 5/5 — Does what it says on the tin *2017-12-21, version 3.10* I have just bought an electric car and had my first successful charge, the app could be laid out a bit better but it works, I charged my car. At 19p per kWh it is not much more expensive than charging at home so no reason to complain really. ### 3/5 — Poor connection *2023-08-17, version 3.13* Difficult to connect ### 3/5 — Great concept needs to be up to date *2021-08-13* Having the ability to see local and specific locations for planned trips in terms of charging stations is great but the app and layout need to be updated. Best way is to see other apps and see how to make it look better and easier to use plus car specific would greatly help to show best charger. The ability to use your credit or debit card to charge your vehicle is standard but the app should show instructions as a small animation as for someone who has bought a new electric vehicle and never used a charger especially without a smart card I would feel it would not use a debit/credit card. ### 3/5 — App great when works *2021-03-13, version 3.13* New to EV, 1st attempt at charge point at Forth valley college great, app connected and charged easily. 2nd attempt at well green place Stirling app would t connect even though phone signal great, drive to colquhoun street Stirling and same problem! Drove to Tesla destination charger and easy. Purchased charge my car card and able to use all charge points easily. Why won’t app connect in middle of a city? ### 3/5 — Good for finding locations *2020-12-14, version 3.13* You can use the app to find locations and also to begin/end charging sessions. However it’s very unreliable using the app alone for managing the charging as you often get connection errors or have trouble identifying which charger your parked at as they don’t all have ID plates. Therefore I strongly recommend the charge card for £20 per year is essential as it takes away the reliance on the app and works perfectly. ### 3/5 — Used to work *2019-11-09* This used to be a reliable app, but now it doesn’t work. It’ll say chargers are free, then you turn up to find they’ve they were occupied the whole time (you can even try it right next to the occupied charger, the app will say it’s still available 🤦🏻‍♂️) I almost ran out of battery today because of this happening. I really love that we have a free service in Scotland, but it’s getting abused by inconsiderate users that I’m pretty sure I’ll have to move back to an ICE when it’s time to upgrade. Why does it not show chargers which are advertised under the same name on the internet.
