### 2/5 — Frustrating app, passable service

*2026-07-12*

This app is not user friendly and it will not stay logged in. It is filled with glitches and will essentially erase my search. Frankly, 2 stars is generous. Regardless, the network isn't that bad (assuming I can find a charger). I hope they put effort into this or I will stop using it.

### 3/5 — Frustrating app

*2026-07-11*

I used this in Corsica for my rental EV.

The good - probably the most popular app for EV charging points. Did let me find various on-street or parking options.

The bad - didn’t let me provide feedback on chargers for some reason, despite having created an account. Lots of little niggles, like resolving to an address that takes you a different location in the satnav, and allowing feedback for some but not others.

The feedback issue particularly makes me wonder how reliable the customer feedback is - if it’s just too hard for people to provide accurate updates.

### 2/5 — It’s okay….gotten worse

*2026-05-14*

Does it generally help map out charge points yes.
Main issues are charge card stopped working everywhere. Only works at 70% of chargers I’d like to charge at.
Using the app is more of a chore, constant adverts for their premium service.
Getting harder to find charging rates for some chargers. They appear on the map but no rate stated. Overall not fluid to use and it’s easy to get stuck somewhere in the app.
I’ve found better designed apps, with more clear charge rates that work at more chargers I use.

### 2/5 — Intermittent

*2025-12-18, version 4.48.0*

Often the route will just go on hold & it says trying to find the best route. But it goes round & round and the route does not appear.

### 2/5 — Potential is there

*2025-12-09*

App seems quite good, but as I can’t see an option to change the currency to GBP for UK chargers it’s currently not of much use to me right now compared to other apps that are available. I’m also having some issues with deleting my account which is far from ideal.

### 2/5 — L’app non è flessibile

*2025-08-18, version 4.42.0*

No fa bene ciò che deve fare

### 3/5 — Poor

*2025-08-03, version 4.41.0*

Incomplete map of chargers in UK. Some wrong information. Expensive prices.

### 3/5 — Good coverage, but...

*2025-07-30*

Can't disable marketing notifications without turning off all notifications

### 2/5 — Surprisingly pedestrian

*2025-06-14*

Sorry but this just didn’t seem intuitive to me. It only showed “estimated” charging prices in Euros, which wasn’t useful for British user and despite looking for where to change this particular currency use, I couldn’t find how or where to do this. It’s odd as elsewhere in the app it uses GBP£! Also while I salute the pricing transparency, to see the equivalent of 10% of my charging price being paid on to Chargemap - that’s rich. It’s not like they’ve saved me a bunch of money off the charging price being paid

### 2/5 — Des options manquantes et véhicules non supporté

*2025-02-23*

### 2/5 — Has potential, but misses the spot

*2025-02-04*

I’ve tried to like this app, but find some of it very confusing. I can’t understand the logic of presenting prices to UK drivers in the UK as Euros? Not clear what exchange rate is in use, so I can’t easily calculate how much a charge will cost. It sometimes also routes in a way I would not expect as it appears to have a preference over which chargers to use that can not be adjusted in settings. I’ll keep it installed for now and will check out updates but for now will use other apps.

**Developer response:** Bonjour, simply because we are a French company and therefore invoice in euros. You can adjust the connectors of your choice by clicking on the "Stations" button once a route has been proposed! You'll then have access to advanced filters

### 3/5 — Very useful but very flawed

*2025-01-19*

This app is so unfriendly. Ignoring the times it just junked my route under construction, it is a bit of a nightmare building a route in the first place. There is no means to point at the map and add a waypoint (I know I can tap a charger and say charge here but it doesn’t add it to the route as a waypoint). The map is incomplete, in that there are locations named on the map but I cannot enter them as waypoints. The routing software adds bonkers detours for no reason at all - for someone with range anxiety or on a new route and so blindly following the suggested route this will have a negative impact. Years and years ago I used the Garmin software for planning routes and it was already way better than this. Nonetheless it is a fantastically useful app - I just hope the list of chargers and their states is accurate! We’ll find out. Hopefully the route building algorithm will improve as will the route editing experience. I’d like to see it succeed.

**Developer response:** Hello, we're sorry to read this feedback. We're working on a specific pointing system. Please note that we also have constraints linked to the cartography, which doesn't allow us to do everything like a GPS. You have to enter a precise address to find a recharging point. Do you have any examples of “crazy” detours? They may be adjustments to our calculation algorithm. We manage a considerable amount of data, but it's also possible to recalculate a route yourself if it doesn't suit you. If you have any concrete examples, we'd be delighted to hear from you. After all, our aim is to help you plan an itinerary with peace of mind! Thank you for the rest of your very encouraging message.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-08-08*

Tried to map a 200 mile route I’ve done tens of times with known chargers and it couldn’t find any solution. Plus the app sign in is awful. It took 5 minutes and multiple attempts to sign in. Don’t waste your time with this app.

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2026-01-24, version 4.49.0*

Avoid

### 1/5 — Não em dolphin mini

*2026-01-18*

### 1/5 — Pretty useless (still) in Australia.

*2025-10-08*

Two years later, and still hundreds of locations missing. This app is useless in Australia. Deleted.

### 1/5 — Charging rates 2x 3x higher than other apps

*2025-08-06, version 4.41.0*

Honestly don’t know how anyone could think that is correct to double or sometimes even triple the charging rates via this app.
Have a look at the alternative charging apps and you will see the massive difference in the price

### 1/5 — Pretty picture

*2025-07-27, version 4.41.0*

Downloaded app. Very efficient on iPhone battery use - nada - inert - ? - won’t open

### 1/5 — Latest update just crashes on startup.

*2025-04-23, version 4.38.0*

I wonder if these people test the Apps before letting them loose on the public? It doesn’t look like it.

### 1/5 — Charge you way more

*2025-04-22, version 4.37.1*

Very nice app but prices are all wrongs and way more expensive than the reality. Do not use the chargemap card as you will loose a lot of money

### 1/5 — The most expensive charging - AVOID

*2024-10-15, version 4.30.1*

This is the Rost charging app ever - it is always more expensive by 20-50% when compared to other apps. As a bonus they also charge you 20 euro for an rfid card, where others send you one for free (Hello Electroverse). Seriously it's stuff like this that gets EV users bad reputation.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t function

*2024-09-23*

This app is extremely frustrating and poorly designed. The navigation is confusing, making it hard to figure out where things are or how to proceed. Instead of simplifying the experience, it feels like they've crammed in too many unnecessary features, overwhelming new users. It's far from user-friendly and left me lost and frustrated trying to use it. Definitely needs a complete redesign.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fantastic App

*2026-07-23*

I used Chargemap (and a Chargemap pass) for a 1,500 mile journey from the UK into (and around) France and back again. Having one card that worked on a plethora of different charging networks was a massive benefit (Bye bye range anxiety!!) I would highly recommend.

### 5/5 — John

*2025-11-23, version 4.47.0*

Very easy with RFID card!

### 5/5 — Un petit quelque chose en plus…

*2025-09-08*

### 5/5 — Doesn’t work with iPhone SE

*2025-08-07*

Tried several times to contact the company for help but nothing happened. Very disappointed as I wanted to set up a fairly long trip and needed to know where to charge.

### 5/5 — Application très bien mais tarif reste cher

*2025-07-24*

Merci

### 5/5 — English travellers in France-Jaguar EV

*2025-05-16, version 4.38.5*

Travelling south from Roscoff we are solely useing the Chargemap card and map and it has been seem less and cheaper than we expected

### 5/5 — Recommended EV app

*2025-05-08, version 4.38.3*

From the many EV nav apps I’ve tried there are only three which reliably indicate chargers enroute, and is relatively straight forward to use - Charge Map is one of these three apps.

### 5/5 — Funktioniert

*2025-05-07*

Anfängliche Probleme wurden zusammen mit Support behoben. Sehr gut

### 5/5 — Paul Johnson

*2025-04-24, version 4.38.1*

I can’t get the app to open got the picture but won’t open.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-04-23*

Good AP, but not all chargers that it say accept Chargemap Card do
