Had cart charging for an hour that I thought was full. Wanted to see what was going on with the “smart” charging scenario. Downloaded the app and no active charger showed up. Hit “refresh” and my charger showed up, clicked it and saw there were no faults, 92% charged, 187 minutes to full, charging amps, battery voltage. Came out to check ~2 hours later, pulled up the app, no charger showed up, hit refresh, selected my charger, saw current status and had 58 minutes left. Came out an hour later, charging was complete. went thru same process to check in app, all green. All done without a manual or instructions from the charger, probably there were more things that could help, but I got exactly what I needed in under 5 minutes. Cons: Bluetooth range, had to be near charger to use. Not unexpected. Seeing no chargers found and having to hit refresh, but that extra second is not an issue for me. ### 2/5 — App needs fixing *2025-01-20, version 1.3.9* The app has always been flawed but it at least worked. Now for whatever reason I cannot change the battery profile. I read the manual and it says it’s supposed to be accessible when the charger is not charging. IT IS ALWAYS GESYED OUT. And is not using the correct profile. Essentially making my charger useless. Then I did the 1.3.5 update and now it sees the charger starts to sync. The lights on the charger flash so there is a handshake starting. Then all the sudden it go back to the select charger screen. Go back to the proper chargers that had meters on them. ### 1/5 — Horrible experiences *2023-10-14, version 1.3.5* Nothing but issues with this charger and app Small golf cart shop owner and selling the summit 2 has been nothing but a nightmare save the headache and get a Eric or Madjax charger ### 4/5 — Love the charger, the app sort of… *2023-09-27, version 1.3.3* Most apps can be closed by swiping but not this app. You have to ‘disconnect’ the charger within the app’s directory FIRST or it will never reconnect without disconnecting a wire from the battery. Muscle memory closing apps has prompted me to revert to a hardware solution. I installed a disconnect switch on the negative lead so in the event I close this app, like every other app, I can at least reset the charger by turning a switch off then back on. That seems to fix the problem with this charger’s permanent Bluetooth connection if one leaves the app to take a phone call which also causes issues requiring a manual reboot. Suggestion: Put a big red disconnect button on the dashboard screen within the app or a reset button on the charger itself. Anything besides having to remove a terminal to reset the system. ### 2/5 — It would be great if it would find the charger consistently. *2023-09-21* I consistently get the error message, no chargers found even though the charger initially appears and tries to go through the process of collecting data. It then cycles through and displays ‘no charger found’ then brings the charger ID back up as a clickable selection. Goes through the process of collecting data then reverts back to ‘no charger found’ error message. I got this app to work ONCE at installation, but has failed every time I try to reconnect. I bought this product to be able to monitor the charge cycle. It’s actually worse than the Power Wise charger. When I plug it in, all it says is AC is present, there is no other light, and I cannot get a hold of anyone to help with this. Stored my cart in the garage all winter after buying it brand new and I can;t tell if it is charging or not…turn the key on it’s dead as a doornail. Popped open the batteries and there is plenty of fluid covering the plates. So I downloaded this app today to see if I can learn more about what is going on…and it worked to connect to my charger for about 3 seconds. The app saw the charger and I saw the serial number, selected that and it acted like it was going to download some data and it popped right back to the choose a charger screen except now, it never finds it…just says “No charger found”..pulled the app off my phone, redownloaded it and same thing; “No Charger Found”. sad thing is, this golf cart has less than 10 miles on it…everything still looks brand spanking new. ### 1/5 — It’s terrible *2025-02-22, version 1.3.9* The charger is super slow and sometimes when i plug it in it doesn’t even work ### 1/5 — App crashes while reading data *2024-10-10, version 1.3.9* App was working on the begging but then after it started to crash. Have tried every possible way to attempt to remedy: uninstalled and reinstalled. Reset and repaired with the charger. Installed the app on other devices. It basically says it’s trying to read charger data over a dim dashboard screen and then kicks right back to the main screen where you look for your charger. Using the lights on the actual charger to try and understand what is happening is doable, but requires you to refer to the manual if you want to know what the status lights mean. There’s also no way to change the function or setting in the charger without the app. But the app doesn’t work, so… hoping for the best. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Charger Review *2024-08-27, version 1.3.9* After reading so many negative reviews about this app I was a little hesitant about installing it. So I did my research and I did not see any problems that I couldn’t warrant not trying at least the app one time. So I downloaded the app and followed instructions. My star Capella, LSV, has wet cell batteries in it and I inputted the information the best I could and everything seems to be working fine with the app. It’s reading all the data coming from the Lester charger and it asked me to reboot and unplug the charger and I did that and it seems to be working fine. the only question I may have is I’m not exactly sure if I picked the correct Lester charger to input into the app. Thus far I see no problems with the performance of the app so I’m going to assume Lester fixed all the issues that I saw over the prior years from negative reviews from other users. Customer service does a great job helping if you don’t know what you’re doing.
