## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — 3.0.x Doesn’t work

*2026-02-14, version 3.3.0*

Bluetooth connectivity fails due to poor BLE management. Writing code in Android (which doesn’t have stringent BLE management) then running through an iOS emulator to transcode without validation, beta testing is inexcusable. This may also include the charger’s firmware. For a company so well established, how can anything like this continue to happen?

### 1/5 — Unable to create account

*2025-11-28, version 3.2.2*

Unable to create a new account to be able to use your public chargers. Very much an inconvenience and waste of public space! If I had the opportunity to give you zero stars I would.

### 1/5 — No available time zone

*2025-10-16, version 3.2.2*

Can’t open app, we’re in NZ daylight savings +13hrs network managed

### 1/5 — Problems

*2025-03-15, version 3.0.2*

Firmware doesn’t update after several attempts. 3 times now my scheduled overnight charge hasn’t worked which meant I needed to go to a charge station and pay more. Not sure how to get support as you click the link and there is no longer a page. Now I have number of offline charge sessions exceeded. Never had this problem after 4 years on the legacy app. Please let me know where I can get support.
Thanks

### 1/5 — Bugs galore… stay away

*2023-10-15, version 2.0.4*

In this latest version of the app, my charger is now only reachable via Bluetooth. Prior versions of the app have also been full of bugs and as a result, you really shouldn’t think of using ABB for your home charger if you can avoid. Unbelievable that their CEO lets garbage like this ship…

### 1/5 — There is reason why it has 1star avg rating

*2023-08-09, version 2.0.3*

Buy webasto or anything else than this.. when you see app in store with only 1stars there is a reason..
Charger nor app show what error charger is having.. it just says error thanks!

### 1/5 — Lazy developers

*2023-07-30, version 2.0.3*

Keeps notifiying me that the system time has been updated while using the app. Ridiculous

### 2/5 — New software 1.8.21

*2024-07-18, version 3.0.0*

I can’t download load this and when contacted to the charger with Bluetooth it just keeps doing the red circle death loop

### 3/5 — Connection Issues

*2026-07-22, version 3.5.0*

Since the latest firmware updates I can no longer connect to the charger. Not ideal when you have a car in need of charging!

### 3/5 — App improvement

*2024-06-02, version 2.0.8*

For energy use plan (time of day), please provide an additional slot for Peak.

In South Australia, we have two peak periods, 6AM-10AM and 3PM-6PM. This is in addition to our Shoulder and Off Peak periods.

## Most praised reviews (5 highest-rated)

### 4/5 — Works well

*2023-12-05, version 2.0.5*

I have used this and previous version. This is more intuitive and has a better User Interface. Another reviewer incorrectly asserts it cannot be used to connect to WiFi. It can be and I have just done so

### 3/5 — What happened to the live amps and voltage?

*2024-04-20, version 2.0.7*

I found this information useful and was clearly visible in the previous app, now it just shows kW.

### 3/5 — Still buggy

*2024-03-01, version 2.0.7*

Improved a lot compared to previous iteration, but I need to use the old one still sometimes to be able to connect. I am disappointed that I cannot have multiple schedules to accommodate different off peak periods (noon, night, full weekends). I would like to be able to both schedule and also define prices for those periods. Most annoyingly, the application started yesterday to produce a popup “the charge point has been booted” every hour or so…

### 3/5 — Still clumsy

*2023-11-19*

It is a welcome improvement from the legacy version but still has a lot of problems. For one, I cannot connect over the network (but I can still do so using the legacy app which I still have installed). The scheduling is still a mess, why can’t I set multiple periods day by day?

### 3/5 — Push notifications for time setting

*2023-07-03, version 2.0.2*

I keep getting daily push notifications about time being set on the charger. There is no option in the app to disable this. It’s very annoying.
