I have participated in two different experiences through Charitybuzz and have been extremely pleased. Their team is very easy to work with, and they are very helpful in answering all questions and make it easy to understand how to navigate the process. ### 2/5 — Too many check ins *2017-05-21, version 4.1* Why oh why do you make people re-sign in every time you use the app? So here’s a short one… I “won” 3 experiences, all of them were a waste of money and time. The people I met, they either had no clue what this was about, or didn’t care about engaging in any sort of conversation about literally whatever topic. One of them just simply didn’t show up, and I flew across the country for the meeting. What a scam. Also, check how much REALLY goes to the charities… Don’t waste your time and money on this. ### 1/5 — Unfortunately not good *2026-01-31, version 7.3.9* I’ve been bidding on Charitybuzz for years. I’ve won a few things- only to have the charity in shock at the large percentage plus fess etc that Charitybuzz makes. They make more than the charities. I’ve bid on items and reached my max I was comfortable with, only to be outbid by another person- yet multiple times after the auction I have been contacted stating they found another of the unique one of a kind item I was bidding on. I noticed the same bidder names consistently outbidding me - last minute on these items- making me wonder about the legitimacy of the bidders and bids. You can’t see, verify or know who you are bidding against. One auction I won, I flew to the place and time of my meeting- set up by Charitybuzz at a mutually agreed on date/time/place- only to have the guest I was supposed to meet not show up. Charitybuzz said no refunds. I contacted the person’s assistant. They said they were never contact by Charitybuzz- they never agreed to the date/time/location. The person felt terrible and the star actually flew to me to meet. I want - really want to love Charitybuzz. I don’t bid anymore- I use it as a place to generate ideas and book things myself- or search for the item to buy direct- and so forth. ### 1/5 — Terrible logout error *2025-12-22, version 7.3.8* I repeatedly have to update my password and constantly renew it ### 1/5 — SCAM *2024-04-02, version 7.3.4* Buyer/Bidder Beware ### 1/5 — How Much Really Goes to Charity *2022-09-27, version 7.1.5* Be Careful - you will notice in some cases very little actually goes to a charity. Sometimes like 5%. Thanks ### 1/5 — Item Purchased was a Scam *2021-07-27, version 7.0.7* I’m all about helping charitable causes, but if you’re going to sell something of value, don’t misrepresent what you’re selling. Never again. ### 1/5 — Buyer’s Premium isn’t enough to Staff Phones and Read Emails *2021-07-08, version 7.0.6* Answer your phones and read your emails! Won an item, which was a gift. Immediately upon winning, I sent an email so it gets shipped to the recipient (a gift) instead of me. Email ignored. The next day, I left a voicemail with shipping department, but my call was never returned. Left another voicemail after that, this time with the auction team. Call not returned as well. Left a note on Facebook page. No response either. Just got a shipping notice from FedEx. Item is being sent to me (obviously, since nobody answers email or listens to voicemail). Had to pay fedex to reroute. Ridiculous. Had issues with communication on prior auction I won too. I won’t be participating in further CharityBuzz auctions. Already deleted app and unsubscribed to emails on open auctions. You think the buyer’s premium would allow you to staff your phones. Would give zero starts if it was an option. ### 1/5 — Doesn't work *2016-04-06, version 3.4* Bid on items from home pc, thought I'd be able to use the app on my vacation to increase the big. Lost two lots, really disappointed. Deleted! ### 1/5 — Not For Aussies *2014-06-12* Attempted on more than occasion to register, but wouldn't accept the fact I was from Australia. I couldn't enter a State. Plus, I didn't appreciate having to submit credit cards details before making any purchases. It's too dangerous nowadays. ### 2/5 — Unethical bidding process *2019-12-13, version 6.4.3* I was bidding on an item on this app against another bidder. We were bidding back and girth successfully. When I went to submit my last bid before closing, some how this bid triggered a “there was an issue with your card” notification. This was clearly not accurate as my other bids had been accepted. I won’t bid on this platform again because of this. The system should be fair to all bidders. This isn’t the developers fault. To date I've experienced some of the greatest and most exciting moments in my life due to their offeringsi(lots). I discovered it through my girlfriend who had bid and won several lots for me on special occasions. To date, I've met with and even dined with some of the worlds most recognized celebrities and business-people, traveled and stayed in some of the finest and most remote islands anywhere, had first edition books personally signed by the authors and the list goes in. Mt latest win will take me to Las Vegas to meet Jerry Seinfeld and see his show from VIP seats.Im also going to the MTV MOVIE AWARDS in April 2016. The list goes on but I feel very fortunate that there is an organization such as Charitybuzz that allows me access while at the same time contributing to some amazing and serious causes. Thank you CB for giving me an overflowing bucket from my bucket list. You guys are tops in my book.
