## What is Charles Proxy?

Charles Proxy for iOS lets you capture, inspect and modify network requests and responses on your iOS device. You can view metadata, headers and bodies in the app, so you can finally debug your app’s networking issues without a computer.

Charles Proxy for iOS is an app from the creator of Charles Proxy for desktop.

HOW IT WORKS
Turn Charles on when you want to start capturing. Charles captures your network requests and responses in the background while you test your app or website. Return to Charles to inspect the requests and responses.

If you also have Charles on your desktop, you can transfer recorded sessions to your desktop to explore them on the big screen.

Charles creates a local VPN on your device. All of your network traffic passes through Charles on your device, and then out to the internet as usual over either WiFi or Mobile / Cellular data. There is no remote server involved, and your data always remains private to you.

FEATURES
* SSL Proxying to view SSL requests in plain text
* View and share request and responses bodies
* Syntax highlighting for text request and response bodies
* Measure network performance over WiFi or Mobile / Cellular networks
* Block requests to nominated hosts
* DNS spoofing

### 1/5 — 1.6 버젼부터 실행안됨

개발자는 이거 알고있는건지 몇개월째 수정안하고 방치중임
1.5로 다시 돌려줘라

### 1/5 — Just exits not even an error

*2026-07-21, version 1.6*

Open app and it just exits. Broken

### 1/5 — 闪退

### 1/5 — Не работает

*2026-04-02*

После обновления не работает, креш при старте

### 5/5 — Not working

*2026-03-27, version 1.6*

This new version does not seem to be working. It crashes as soon as the app opens

### 1/5 — New UX makes everything harder

*2026-03-26, version 1.6*

I normally don’t come to write reviews but the new UX makes everything more complex.

It used to be a single press to clear the log or send the log to a device, now it’s 3

The network call list used to be very easy to read and clear to see which API calls failed. Now each request URL is on 2 or 3 lines and color coded, but no idea what the color coding logic is.

Please go back to simplifying the UX.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-10-11, version 1.5*

Not sure why, but this doesn’t work with our app. You’d think this would be a simple thing to proxy, but somehow they’ve mucked this up. I get a whole lot of failed requests when I try to proxy. I’m disappointed that I spent money on this.

### 1/5 — Not working with iOS 26

*2025-10-01, version 1.5*

Great when it works but it no longer works on the latest iOS 26

### 4/5 — Can’t record flutter apps requests

*2025-09-03, version 1.5*

is there any way to work?

### 1/5 — Very unstable - crashing

*2025-07-02*

It‘s really not very stable and keeps crashing on multiple iPhones. That has been the state for the past 1-2 years. Sad.
