This is not made clear so as a result I wasted time trying to log in and reset passwords. Not good! And why is there not a CSD app??? Useless ### 1/5 — NOT for Charles Stanley Direct customers *2016-03-16, version 1.0.3* Please note this app is for Charles Stanley account customers and NOT Charles Stanley DIRECT customers - they are separate - this should be made clearer - there is currently no App for Direct customers. It will be fine for months and then won’t let you login claiming you are not connected to the internet when clearly one is. Try and reset your password and you might as well forget it and just try and get a life. Whilst I’m enormously happy with Charles Stanley as a financial company, this app is not good when it comes to run of the mill glitches and doesn’t reflect well on their core business. They would be better off without it as I am going to be from now on. Not good enough. ### 1/5 — Stopped working a month ago *2020-05-02, version 6* Was ok until last release, now claims not to be connected to the internet (the phone is it work fo e in every other app), claims wrong username/password combo, it’s not it’s saved in keychain and works for the website. I have just deleted it, old app still works but that has an awful UI. ### 1/5 — Can’t log in *2019-10-25, version 5.0.2* Says my username and password is incorrect, despite the fact I am able to go to the website and log in with that same username and password. 🤔 ### 1/5 — Not Smart Phone Friendly *2018-09-01, version 4.1.1* Just way to much info ... can only show 3 holdings at a time when the screen is rotated a bit useless when your overlooking 30 plus holdings. Charles Stanley Direct website persistently asking me to rate their apps. Tried ages ago and didn't work and forgot about it. Now tried again and still not working as it's not apparently for direct customers. Don't be put off by the other reviews moaning it's not for Charles Stanley direct accounts! It was obvious enough to me who has both. ### 4/5 — Almost there *2021-02-03, version 6.0.7* I find this app very useful for keeping an eye on my investments. The only thing I find annoying is when I go to look at statements it defaults to the last date I looked at. Why not default to the last 30 days and then allow for changes? The first few times I used it I didn’t realise this and just thought there hadn’t been any further transactions. ### 4/5 — Great change to the App *2018-08-25, version 4* Really good change to the app from before, much more in-depth info to your stock, direct email access to fund manager. Only current issue is rotating your iPhone on the summary screen (shuts down the app) which is supposed to give you more information on the list of your stocks. Hopefully this will be ironed out in the coming days as this is a minor error. ### 3/5 — Not for the average investor *2019-04-01, version 4.4* The previous version was more user friendly and simpler to find your way around. This is complicated by trying to provide far too much information and the information that non- professional investors may want is not the default. Most annoying is that the statements don’t update automatically. Set the filter to the last 30 days on 30 March and you get the whole of March. Come back on 30th April, it shows “last 30 days” but you will still get the same statement for March and not April. You then have to re-set it manually. Frustrating. ### 3/5 — Not for direct customers *2016-07-18, version 1.0.3* I agree, should be made clear that it's not for Charles Stanley direct customers. ### 2/5 — Good when it works *2023-12-09, version 6.1.0* Decent app let down by the fact the service is constantly unavailable. Find a way to update your software without taking everything offline all the time 🤯🤯🤯🤯 ### 2/5 — Unstable. Often needs reinstalling. *2020-09-15, version 6.0.1* Good app when it works. Plenty of information although not particularly intuitive. Slightly annoying that the headline value only updates overnight. The main issue is that approx once a month the app stops working so you have to delete it, log into the website then reinstall. Not very happy with investments and the app now, have already moved my pension away so will probably follow with isa’s etc shortly.
