Still gave it three Stars for a good rendition of a classic. ### 5/5 — Updated version works great! *2013-06-25, version 1.1* ...same comment as #2, locks up on the first page after opening the book, with 3 bouncing baseballs ...you can page back to the desktop again, but can not advance beyond the bouncing balls ...maybe a problem on first generation i-Pads ...it works fine on our second generation i-Pad ...just downloaded the update and it runs properly on both i-Pads ...the best Charlie Brown, yet!! ### 4/5 — Worth a purchase *2013-06-25, version 1.1* I don't claim to speak for everyone, but after the previous Charlie Brown app had an unnecessary number of micro-transactions that seemed exploitative, it's nice to see a solid release without any of that business involved. If you are looking to purchase this app for your kids, you can at least have confidence that there are no additional pay walls to interfere with enjoying this classic story, on the other hand this release is quite bare bones, the extra touches in the Christmas and Great pumpkin were nice, I think we just didn't enjoy the pay wall some of those were behind. So it's likely the exchange from those type of features has left this app at a more standard level. I know the temptation to add iap things such as designing a team uniform for Charlie and friends was probably tempting, but loud crow has avoided that for this release, so what we have is a solid title that is somewhat lacking in what made the previous Charlie Brown titles a bit more interactive. 6/25 : performance issues seem to be resolved with most recent patch. ### 2/5 — Too much time *2013-06-22, version 1.0* First of, I like the idea of a PEANUTS baseball story in the summer. Second, it takes tooooooooooo much time for the story to load. I even deleted this app and reinstalled it because I thought it'd be much faster. But it didn't. I was surprised that it wasn't a game and there aren't as many options as Charlie Brown Christmas but it was a good book. The storyline, sound effects, and background music were all great, and you can click on individual words to help with reading which is cute for kids! It was kind of small on a phone - might be better for the iPad. ### 5/5 — Nostalgic! *2014-07-16, version 1.4* This app is so clever in the way it is designed. It's a perfect hybrid of a paper book and a computer. You get all the features of book reading, including pop-up figures and page turns with the benefit of animation, dialogue of the beloved characters, and music.
