Very frustrating as it doesn’t really work. Bluetooth keeps disconnecting so the Astronaut has no function without it. As for the gesture control! Forget it. It’s useless. Don’t waste your money.

I, like the other users was upset that it wasn’t working.  The app wasn’t connecting to Charlie the robot therefore it wasn’t working at all but about a year later as I was going thru my sons toys to give away, I decided to try him out 1 more time and to my surprised I finally figured it out.  

Turn Charlie on by sliding the button over once to the middle line ( the one with just 1 line not 2 lines) and then in your app press the Bluetooth button in the top left corner and when it says “ Charlie the astronaut” press it to connect. It totally works ! 

Love it xox

This app links up to the Charlie the Astronaut robot. It’s a cool toy. Don’t know who this might help, but I downloaded this app to my iPad and could NOT get the app to connect to the toy. The astronaut was showing up in my Bluetooth list but the app kept telling me it couldn’t find the device. I then downloaded the app on my phone and it worked. Not sure what the problem was- my iPad is a few years old so I’m wondering if it’s a compatibility issue. I probably haven’t done a system update on there for a while either. Anyway, once we had the connection working on my phone it worked really well. It’s only got quite basic commands but I’m impressed that we can buy a toy this cool at this price point.

Not as great as it could be but it’s an astronaut that can walk around.

Bought the toy for my son, bit disappointed that you can only use it with a mobile device and there’s no remote with it. 
Connection is absolutely awful, barely able to make it move without it stopping. £30 down the drain. (Reduced from £41 which is quite frankly robbery!!!)
