## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.14.0 — 2026-08-10

New: redesigned navigation (Orte tab with a map/list toggle, Profile now in the tab bar), a location step when recommending, and Things now show in your profile. Fixes: "Also recommend" creates your own editable recommendation, the wishlist works reliably again, duplicates are avoided, search no longer hides map pins, new recommendations default to 5 stars, and several freeze/performance improvements.

### 1.12.2 — 2026-08-07

New:
- Find places from your photos: pick multiple photos and we'll turn the geotagged ones into recommendations
- Import interesting places from your Google Location History/Timeline export (places you clearly stayed at for a while), in addition to Saved Places and Reviews
- Camera option when adding photos, in addition to picking from your library
- Add multiple photos to a place or a "Thing" (book/wine/etc.), not just one
- "Directions" button now opens real turn-by-turn navigation instead of just showing a pin
- Explore now groups places by country (with expandable city lists) or by city — toggle with a new switch
- Category filter chips to quickly narrow down Explore by type of place
- New categories: Schwimmbad, Sauna, Freibad, Badesee
- Photos from Google Places now show automatically for imported places without a custom photo

Bug fixes:
- Fixed wine/Thing photos failing to save with a storage permission error
- Fixed your own comment on a place sometimes not showing or not being editable
- Fixed friend requests that could silently fail to accept
- Explore and Things now refresh automatically when new recommendations come in
- Fixed the map zooming out instead of just centering when tapping "go to my location"
- Fixed the keyboard not dismissing when tapping the map
- Fixed the missing stop button when using voice input
- Fixed tab bar labels being cut off on smaller iPhones
- Fixed the reservation button sending you to the wrong city for restaurants outside Germany/Austria/Switzerland, including some cases where it showed for restaurants abroad at all
- Places added via search now save their address correctly (fixes missing address on the place detail page)
- Removed a confusing duplicate "recommend" button
- Category filter chips in Explore were nearly invisible (same background color as the page) — fixed
- Fixed the "Want to go" button being missing from place cards
- Deleting a recommendation now removes all of its photos, not just the first one
- Account deletion now also removes your Things (books, wine, etc.), their comments/wishlist entries, and cover photos
- Explore now lists a place under all of its categories instead of only the first one
- Explore now also shows public places from other users, not just friends — matching the web version

### 1.11.0 — 2026-07-12

- Profile grid: your recommendations and "Want to Go" wishlist at a glance
- "Want to Go" button: save places you want to visit
- Autocomplete for movies, series and music when adding recommendations — cover art included
- Place photos from Google Maps shown automatically when no photo has been uploaded
- Place photos from Google Maps now also appear in the Discover tab and map list
- Edit button for your own Things entries

Bug fixes:
- Category filter chips in Explore were nearly invisible (same background color as the page)

### 1.6.0 — 2026-06-28

- "Books" is now "Things": recommend books, wine, movies, series, music and games to your friends, each with its own fields
- Recommend something your friend shared too, save it to your wishlist, or comment on a recommendation
- Scan a wine label, movie, series or game cover to fill in fields automatically
- Wine: track grape variety, growing region, taste, price and where you bought it

### 1.5.0 — 2026-06-20
