The weather portion is worthless. To have a such a strong meteorological team that people depend on, your app doesn’t help with getting the info across. There are still glitches with the app. No preferences can be updated. That one was quite accurate and easy to use. The current weather section isn’t user friendly and I can’t delete cities I’ve added. Each time I go in and attempt to delete, they just remain. Now it’s not very good at all. The interactive weather map doesn’t work well. It keeps repeating the same weather pattern every hour or so. There’s no search feature on the app to look up stories. It’s just not very well designed or functional. ### 1/5 — Way too many moving adds *2026-07-07, version 50.15.4* Its impossible to actually read the articles as there are constant moving ads between every paragraph. I get you need ads for revenue, but this is too much. I mean, who doesn’t include a search function? But maybe more importantly, a huge local story broke today about freedom of speech and they chose not to cover it. Presumably for political reasons. The article that talks describes the weather is not found in the weather section. WCNC is well designed and is enjoyable to use. WCNC is not cluttered with distracting ad’s and seems more accurate. Well done WCNC and shame on WSOC & WBTV for using a third party weather app (both are very similar) that is focused on pushing trashy ad’s like Temu and Morris Jenkins. ### 5/5 — Improved *2026-06-18, version 50.13.0* Much improved from the last app! ### 5/5 — News *2026-06-10, version 50.12.0* Love the upbeat and pleasant attitude of the staff.
