## What is Chart Reps?

Your gut learns from every trade it sees, the lucky ones too. Chart Reps is a chart-reading trainer that gives you reps which tell it which were which.

Reading a chart is a skill you get by doing it, and it learns from results. Live trades are a slow way to get results: one can take days to finish, and the market pays out on bad calls often enough to teach the wrong lesson. Here you get a chart with its last 180 bars cut off, you commit a trade plan, and the bars you couldn't see print in and hand back two scores in minutes: what the trade made, and a grade for the call. A lucky win still gets a poor grade.

Here is one rep, start to finish:

- The setup: a crypto 4-hour chart, 360 bars printed up to a coil against the entry line. Prices are indexed to 100 and the symbol and dates are stripped out, so there is nothing to recognise and nothing to go and look up. Past the commit line, 180 bars are hidden.
- Your call: LONG · entry 100.40 · stop 97.20 · target 107.12, conviction called ~65%. One bracket, committed. No taking it back once the reveal starts.
- The reveal: the hidden bars play out one at a time. Price holds the base, breaks the range, and runs through your target without trading down to the stop.
- The verdict: CALLED ~65% · +2.10R · A · TARGET. Filled and ran to target, 6.72 made against 3.20 risked, and the size of the call matched the base, which is the A.

Play the same chart with the same bracket a year from now and you get the same grade. The score is arithmetic: an R multiple for the outcome and a decision grade for the quality of the call.

Who it's for: anyone learning to read price, from trading students to people who have read the books and want reps on charts they can't peek at.

What it is:
- 21,000 setups cut from crypto and forex history, with the next 180 bars hidden until you commit.
- A committed bracket: direction, entry, stop, and target.
- A deterministic verdict: an R multiple and a decision grade.
- A record of every rep, synced once you claim an account.
- A daily tape: one new chart a day, the same for every player. It doesn't count against your daily reps.

What it isn't: not a signals service, not trade alerts, not a course, and not a brokerage. There is no real money and no real trades.

What it can't teach you: a rep here has no spread, no slippage and no money on it. The read gets sharper; the nerve doesn't. The reveal runs 180 bars and stops, so a thesis you would hold for six months can't be graded. The grade lands on the bracket you committed, not on how you would have managed the trade after entry.

Your first 5 reps need no account, and every rep is graded either way. After that a free account gives you 2 reps a day and syncs your record across your devices. A subscription lifts the daily limit, opens your whole record instead of your last 20 reps, and adds the Advisor, which reads across your reps and names where your calls leak, plus the full instrument kit and unlimited flash drills. On the daily tape it also shows how every other player called the same chart and where your call finished among them. The Advisor won't call anything a pattern until it has 20 of your reps to look at, so there is nothing in it for you on day one. Billing is handled by Apple; Chart Reps never sees your card details. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple ID settings.

Chart Reps is an educational simulator for practising chart reading. It uses historical market data for training only. Nothing in the app is financial, investment, or trading advice. There is no real money, no real trades, and no brokerage — outcomes are deterministic evaluations of past price data. Past performance does not predict future results.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.5 — 2026-10-20

Replay clips now show the studies you had on when you placed the trade: the averages and bands over price, and the RSI or volume strip below. This works for trades placed on this version onward. Older trades replay without them.

Tap TALK THROUGH IT on a clip and your drawings and studies come in one at a time before your order goes on the chart, so you can explain your read as each piece lands. A talked-through clip runs about 11 to 20 seconds.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-10-15

New free limits. Your first 5 reps need no account, and a free account gets 2 reps a day. The daily tape still never counts against either. The app now tells you how many free reps you have left, and when you hit a limit it says which one and when more come.

Fixes from a full walk through the app:
- Signing out and back in keeps your record and your practice streak. Switching accounts on one device no longer mixes two records.
- Signing out on one device leaves your other devices signed in.
- The chart no longer runs under the status bar or the toggles and study chips above it, and the trend word in the rep header now matches the chart you see.
- Labels and controls that overlapped have been pulled apart: trade marks on replays, the trade tags on the verdict chart, the grade on the share card, the ticket's last-loss line and the time-scale dial.
- Text grows with your phone's Larger Text setting, up to 1.3 times, and Home, the rep, the verdict, your record and the paywall re-fit around it.
- The verdict and the flash drill fit a phone held sideways.
- A sideways swipe on the rep screen or the flash drill no longer closes the chart you were dealt.
- Flash drill answers now save with the round they came from.
- After you delete your account, the free-rep count no longer includes the reps you deleted.
- iPad Home no longer stretches one column across the whole screen.
- The Advisor keeps up with your newest reps and can point you to a pack that drills your weak spot.
- The daily reminder shows when notifications are off in Settings, and turns on once you allow them.
- Sign-in errors are in plain words.
- The privacy policy, terms and support page now cover Sign in with Apple.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-10-10

Sign in with Apple. Open an account or sign back in with your Apple ID, no password to make up.

The daily tape now has a results screen. Play the day's chart and NEXT shows how many others played it, with your own trade replayed on the chart. Subscribers also see how everyone else called it and where your call finished among them.

Your past tapes open with your daily tape record: your run of days in a row, total R, win rate and average grade, plus the tape that made you the most R. Tap any past tape to replay your trade on its chart.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-09

Cancelling your subscription now shows right away when you come back to the app. Purchases waiting on Ask to Buy now say so. Charts fit better on a portrait screen, and sign-up waits for your email link before asking for a call sign.
