Best regards, Mike ### 3/5 — It’s ok *2019-03-05* It doesn’t have the charts for all symbols ### 2/5 — Lost it's real-time quoting abilities *2017-09-29* The app seems to have lost its ability to deliver real-time quotes a few weeks ago; now it only goes down to the 'day' time frame for a bar. As such, it does t distinguish itself from competitors enough and there's not much added value with the paid subscription. **Developer response:** Thank you for contacting us. It's true that the app had issues while we were switching over to a new data provider. Real-time data (for most markets) is working. Since this review we have also added Forex support. If you still run into issues, let us know and we'll be happy to help. ### 2/5 — No longer has intra-day charts *2017-09-26, version 1.5.2* App features are great, but they have recently got rid of the capability to view intraday charts. ### 4/5 — Very Good App *2017-09-21, version 1.5.2* Very good app. Lately I noticed that it is timing out though. I do have over 20 watch lists and 100 stocks saved so that may have something to do with it. Would be nice to get feedback on this. ### 4/5 — Great App-Previous issues with Daily and Longer *2017-09-12* I really like the app, the charting overlays, the variety of analysis. I have not liked when the daily and greater charts do not work which has been due to data format changes in the provider data. **Developer response:** Thank for letting us know. We did have issue when we switched to another provider. Our current feed is working for most markets. Please let us know if you have any other issues that need solving. ### 4/5 — Good Charting App (occasional flaws) *2017-09-01* Pretty solid app if you want to do some basic chart study. Occasionally the chart on the daily is not available to view. Not sure why this happens but it's been the case that within a few days it is available again. **Developer response:** Dear Beez, We believe that version 1.5.1 has fixed all of the issues around end of charts sometimes being unavailable. If you ever see that issue again, please notify us ASAP through Menu->Tell Us ... so that we can get it resolved. Our high priority is making sure data and charts are reliable. We would be very interested in hearing any updates and suggestions you may have. Easy to use for many strategies. ### 5/5 — Great charts and service! *2017-05-31* ChartTreker offers the best stock and index charts for iPad and iPhone that I have found - great resolution, tons of indicators, and top-notch customer service. A recent change by a data supplier resulted in a quickly updated version to continue easy access. Emails with questions or comments generally receive a reply within 24 hours. The sizes of price charts and indicators can be quickly changed to expand one or the other, a big help especially on the smaller phone screen. The 2-week free trial makes it a no-brainer. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Nice, but very very slow to update prices (updated review) *2024-08-31, version 1.8.3* I expect prices to be 15-20 minutes behind but updated constantly. But here for many instruments the prices are not only behind but often the prices don’t change for several hours, even though in the market the same prices are continually changing. Refresh quotes IS enabled at 15 second intervals, and one can see this happening, but often none of the prices change for hours. Owing to this problem this nice app is of limited use. Update - 31-8-24. New version [1.8.3(189)] is flakey. I’ve just spent about hour preparing a watch-list when at the last moment ChartTreker crashed. When I started it again - my new watch-list was gone and my time wasted. I don’t think I will be renewing my subscription for this. I’m reducing the rating to one star. ### 1/5 — Don’t work anymore *2019-08-05* In short like someone else who wrote that it don’t work on he’s iPad ultra, I have the same issue. ### 1/5 — Fibonacci retracement ratio error, v. 1.6.2 (161.3) *2018-07-20, version 1.6.3* The original error was found in v1.6.1. The retracement (descending) should be calculated to 23.6% but is calculated to 25%! I stopped and uninstalled the app here. Feedback was immediately (4Mar18) sent to the developer. (Update) The Developer replied (5Mar18) that it'll corrected in the next update. Will update the rating when this is corrected. Update: July 2018. I've updated the app and reinstalled it on my phone. Now I do not receive any charts for 2 well known financials, including Citigroup. I emailed the programmers, but have removed the app from my phone. I am the END USER, not the BETA tester. Waste of my time . ### 1/5 — Loved the app until it completely stopped working *2017-05-18* Used this app daily for trading. Upgraded on the 6 month plan. Beautiful charts. Had all my watch lists loaded and it worked great for about 3 weeks --- until it didn't work at all. Now it doesn't do any charting and I've had to reload all my charts in a different app. Will change rating if they get it working again. **Developer response:** Dear Qandps, the app was updated to a new data provider and should fix all of the issues you were seeing. Contact us directly at team@charttreker.com so that we can make sure you're satisfied with the new version. Thank you. ### 1/5 — Poor App *2015-12-05* Do not run the QuickStart Tutorial. It locks up the app and you have to turn off the iPad to recover. Very poor effort. Not recommended. ### 1/5 — Errors in stock prices, missing data, crashes *2014-05-26* App is nice, but some of the charts contain incorrect stock prices because the app is not reflecting stock splits (for example, TREX, which shows a 50% price drop the day of the split). This alone makes it unsuitable for any serious trading use. Also, when using daily charts you can only view the last two years, which is pretty worthless when using a 200-day moving average and other long term studies that rely on daily data. Last but not least, the app crashes frequently, the last of which required deleting the app and reinstalling in, which wiped out all settings and watchlists. What a fantastic POS. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Successful Trading *2026-08-19* I can’t say enough, kind words about Chart tracker. I’ve used it for a number of years and have been extremely successful in the past couple years, and I don’t even use most of the features, I only use a 50 day average and a 200 day average. I like that the trendlines transfer accurately to the different timeframes: hourly, daily, weekly etc. and also stay consistent as you expand & contract the amount of bars shown. ### 5/5 — One problem *2022-09-21, version 1.7.3* I really like this app and follow stocks with a 50 day and 200 day line. The problem: when switching from one stock to the next, the screen may be blank until you scroll up or down to get to the next stock’s price range. A minor bother. ### 5/5 — Was only going to rate 4 stars... *2019-11-05* Normally, I never leave reviews. However, I can’t help (after multiple provocations from the app) not to write this review! But all joking aside, this is a pretty awesome app. I enjoy all of the customizations that makes this your app. I have used this app to pick better buying/selling points and stay away from the wolves in sheep’s clothing. I do not buy an investment without checking 3-4 apps and this is one of them. Did encounter a glitch in the app and reached out for technical assistance. I was contacted timely (less than 12 hours) and was asked for additional information to assist in rooting out the bug. Another 12 hours later and I received a reply thanking me for the additional info and letting me know they are working on a fix. I liked the feedback knowing they cared to let me know and thanked me for reaching out. Hard to find in app development. A+ ### 5/5 — Charttrekker... *2019-10-16, version 1.6.7* I’ve been using this app for a year or so, and follow dozens of stocks, mainly on the LSE. It’s pretty robust and tech charts are easily configured to your preferred settings. The interface is very slick and it is easy to visualise up to about 5 or 6 tech indicators at a time with the an iPad, but it’s all a bit tight on a small screen phone. I do occasionally see data anomalies on some charts, which I suspect is not the fault of the app itself, but more likely corrupt source data. I guess serious chartists would wish for a few more features, for example a logarithmic price scale option would be really useful. In my opinion this is one of the best apps of its type that I have found so far. It should be used with another app to manage your portfolio. The addition of ichimoku cloud is nice touch. I like that you can move the chart around.
