Have to go back and recode/adjust probably 20 shortcuts and 30+ charts to get everything back. Big job. Wish it actually did migrate seamlessly, but it didn’t. ### 2/5 — Cool App Bad Pricing *2026-06-24, version 2.0* Was very excited about this app until I seen the pricing structure. Many apps don't even last 5 years before developers stop supporting them and yet lifetime is priced at 10 years.. so unfortunately I'll have to pass on it! ### 2/5 — There be dragons *2026-06-06* I've spent a lot of time with Charty. Early on, I dove in head-first and created a bunch of charts. Day 1 went pretty well. But then things got rocky. I tried updating them with shortcuts, and displaying them in widgets. I started getting duplicate charts, and empty charts. Sync bugs were everywhere. Widgets would mysteriously go blank. I know the author has put a lot of time into Charty, and I want it to be great. If you just need to make the occasional one-off chart, and you're going to do it interactively inside the app, I think it's fine. For heavy use, or anything involving automation or widgets, though, I cannot recommend it. **Developer response:** Thanks for such a thoughtful review, and I’m sorry the sync issues, duplicate charts, and blank widgets got in your way. You’re right to say these shouldn’t be happening. I’m aware of these bugs and I have tried to address them in the next major update, which is launching this month. Charty 2.0 specifically rebuilds the sync layer to fix the duplicates, sync bugs, and widget refresh problems you hit. I’d love to make sure it fully resolves your setup. I think it will be of great use to me. I am just confused us to why I can't find the widget in the iPad home screen! Quick to Learn & Easy to Use! *2023-06-29* Although I am new to developing Apple Shortcuts, I found implementing and generating a Charty Chart to be as easy as doing so in MS-Excel is unnecessarily hard. In a couple of minutes, I coded a Charty Chart that plots an important health-related dataset for a family member whose condition merits continuous monitoring, awareness, and assistance from other family members. With Charty...? Easy-peasy! And, the affected family member's medical providers are extremely impressed regarding the informative value of Charty Charts! In addition...? Rodrigo--Charty's developer--promptly responded to a Feature Request (Trend lines are coming! Yea!) In my experience, Charty is an excellent & economical solution for Apple Shortcut developers...and is highly recommended! Charty makes Shortcuts so much better because it is the only tool, besides scripting, that allows users to visualize data, small or large, and to even display these charts in widgets on the Home Screen. The included examples and tutorials will help anyone make full use of the app, and the developer is responsive. Please get in touch through the one of the feedback channels inside the app settings! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — 2.0 Update - Fantastic Support *2026-06-25, version 2.0* Charty is an essential tool if you use Shortcuts for anything data-related. I have 8 automated charts tracking home temperatures from 6 HomeKit sensors, on an 3hourly automation across a couple of devices and Charty handles all of it beautifully. After the 2.0 update I hit a bug where the Style Series action couldn’t find series created via Add Series from CSV. I emailed Rodrigo, and within a short time he’d identified the exact cause — a trailing space in CSV column headers that 2.0 no longer trims automatically — and sent a fix. That kind of support from a solo developer is rare. The app itself is powerful once you understand how it works with Shortcuts. The 2.0 rebuild looks great and the widgets update reliably. I would love to see the app, expand into three dimensional plots also intensity plots, who are heat plots which are XY type maps with an exterior variable Z acting as the intensity of the information or color in the chart case.
