I typically use it as a dictionary because I can type out phrases, which always me to understand the syntax. But the fact that it also features as a message app also helps, as I get more practice with the language I’m translating into. Great idea and it’s free! I’ve currently spent the last few hours trying to get all my friends from around the world to download this app. It’s going to be so helpful communicating with them and also helping to immerse myself in the chosen language so I can learn quicker. It’s very helpful especially with hearing pronunciation. But I wish that when I sent a message it showed up as the other persons respective language. I’m learning German and I use this with my cousin who is learning English but we still have to translate each other’s messages. I wish it showed up German for her and English for me; I would use the app more. **Developer response:** Hi! Thanks for the feedback. Fortunately, this option is already an available feature. Press the “i” information icon at the top right of you and your cousins chat screen, and you will see an option at the bottom to translate the incoming text to your native language. I also use an app that really helps connect language learners. Thought this was another useful app to connect language learners with each other but you'll have to have their number in order to chat. I thought it was a social networking app so that was my bad. They should really make it clear what this does and doesn't do. If I were able to use this app to text people in my contacts without them needing to download the app that would be extremely useful.
