It’s so fun for us and our kids to flip through these. My only complaint is with the loading of photos and album covers on the app. Things are SLOW. I went thru the entire process of selecting the photos I wanted from the last year, only to be informed that I can’t change the cover to display only a year (instead of the app’s default month+year format). This is so arbitrary and such a minor ask that I quit the app entirely. Don’t tell me you can’t edit something so trivial. ### 5/5 — Love it *2026-08-04, version 5.17.0* I love love love Chatbooks. I’ve always wanted to get around to printing/scrapbooking my pictures but I finally realized I’d never get around to it. This made it so easy and cheap, but still good quality books!! The app has a couple bugs that could be fixed, but once I understood how to use all the tools, I was sold!! The sturdy book pages are great for babies- I’ve made books for my grandson to look at, and the pages are drool, and water-proof. ### 5/5 — A keepsake our kids absolutely love! *2026-07-30, version 5.17.0* We started making Chatbooks after our first big family holiday and I’ve been hooked ever since. I created our first book at the end of the trip, and it was waiting for us when we got home - the kids were so excited to take it to school and show their friends. I love that it gives young kids a way to share their memories in a way they can’t without a phone. Their own little book to flip through is really special. The Toddler Guarantee is also fantastic - we’ve only needed it once, but the books have held up really well despite constant use at school and daycare. I made them monthly for about a year but it was a bit time consuming. Now I mainly make them after holidays and big milestones, which feels like the perfect balance. I also love that there’s now an option for them to be made for you - definitely on my list to try. Highly recommend for any family wanting an easy way to preserve memories. ### 2/5 — Used to be great *2026-07-26, version 5.16.17* When you took away the easiest option of using Google Photos, it made making these books so much harder. I’m 10 months behind because it takes way more time than it used to. I just spent almost an hour choosing photos from my May 2025 album in Google Photos and when I went to hit done, it gave me an error code saying that it cannot add photos and to go back and reconnect to Google Photos. I logged into Google Photos to begin the process. Now that was an hour that I was wasted and will have to redo. Which probably won’t happen for another couple months so I will be 12 months behind. Please bring back the Google Photos access that was easier in the past whatever changed does not work. ### 5/5 — Got my first book *2026-07-25, version 5.16.17* I just received my first book, it is super cute and colorful. I wish that I could buy more than one because it was a trip with a couple girls. Even if I make collages. ### 1/5 — Does not work!!! *2026-08-11, version 5.17.0* I have been charged several months in a row for a subscription that does not work! I have tried multiple times to have a book created and it won’t let me send the order. Customer service says my app is outdated but there are no updates offered and I have even tried online. I get an error each time I try to print. I even tried cancelling I subscription and it won’t go to the page to do the cancellation either. I just get a blank page! I have created these books before many years ago and had no trouble but this time it’s been nothing but frustration!!! ### 1/5 — Bad customer service *2026-08-09, version 5.17.0* I spent hundreds of dollars, got so many books printed and one day, one monthly book came damaged. When I sent them a request for a new book, they needed proof. Focused on AI ### 1/5 — Hard to cancel *2026-08-02, version 5.17.0* They make it extremely difficult to cancel or pause your subscription. I’ve been trying on the app for 10 minutes and can’t find it. Just keep getting bounced back and forth between the app and website. And once you cancel your subscription you only have a month to use all your credits. If I paid for the credits it’s ridiculous that they have an expiration date, especially only 30 days. Also even though I don’t have a payment option saved on my account it still goes through with Apple Pay which is ridiculous. I have to turn off my debit card to make sure I don’t get charged while I try to cancel or pause my subscription. ### 1/5 — Unauthorized charging *2026-07-31, version 5.17.0* Warning. They are scamming. App the very glitching. They charge me without authorization. When i contact for help they said i have an account that I did not created. I can’t even log in. Now they are unauthorized monthly payment without offering any solution to close this fraud account. When i contact for help. It AI chat box or Ai email does not offer actionable resolution. Never once have I had any help from a human !!!! ### 1/5 — Impossible to cancel *2026-07-24, version 5.16.17* It is intentionally so difficult to cancel subscriptions. Don't fall for it! ### 1/5 — 2 months later no books *2026-07-21, version 5.16.17* I thought this was a great idea. However, I never received my albums. I was able to reach a person through the chat feature and get a refund and cancel my subscription. Now I am wondering where my albums are with my children’s faces in them. Tracking said they were delivered, customer service said “they might have been sent back”. Still, makes me wonder if someone has them. I’ll stick to Google Photos. ### 1/5 — Scam *2026-07-18, version 5.16.17* First it takes the $5 for the first book then you have to download the app then it goes up to the $15 ### 1/5 — Updates made this app suck *2026-07-14, version 5.16.16* This used to be my favorite app to tell other moms about - make printed photo albums in just a few clicks! It would pull photos from a selected album, and once 60 photos had been added, I’d get a notification that my album was ready to print and ship! Then they changed to a subscription model. Then they updated the app. Now I have to manually add the photos in and I get charged for books I haven’t created yet. Can I cancel the subscription and still keep the credits? Only if I use them within 30 days. Could I reach out to their customer service team? Only if I want their AI bot “Chatty” to tell me to try steps I’ve already attempted myself. I WILL NO LONGER RECOMMEND THIS APP TO ANYONE. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — The best! *2026-08-26, version 5.17.2* Such a great app- easy to use and helps us document all our great times instead of having them buried in my camera roll hoping I will someday get to organizing them. With their curation service it takes almost no time to create the books with your best photos. Plus each finalized book generates a mini movie that’s easy to share as a bonus. I love how it gives you information if the picture quality is poor, so it can be fixed! The price is amazing! Always look out for offers to use! The time frame for it to be done and sent to you is fast! I actually received by book within days and I was told it be over a week! Was shocked to come home and see it delivered, yes I knew it would come that day of delivery but was still shocked to see it so soon! I’m shipping the memory book overseas to a family and I’m excited to see their thoughts on it!
