## What is ChatNative?

Learn English and Chinese through real conversations, not flashcards.

ChatNative matches you with language partners and keeps the chat readable. When a word is new, a short translation sits under it so you can stay in the conversation instead of jumping out to a dictionary. Tap any word to mark it unknown, recognised, or known. As you learn, the extra help fades.

Unknown words show a translation underneath — Chinese keeps pinyin
Colour cues show what’s new, seen before, recognised, or known
Tap a word for a definition and example in context
Long-press to mark a whole phrase as one item
Check grammar before you send, or translate a full sentence when you need it
