## What is Chattr?

Chattr is a campus feed for UK university students. Post, reply and vote in polls with the people at your uni, without your name on what you write.

Your own campus
Every university has its own feed. You see posts from students at your uni and nobody else's. Freshers' week, seminars, the library, the bus that never comes. If it's happening on campus, it's in here.

Polls every day
Vote on the question of the day and see how your campus answered.

Built with safety first
Every post and comment is checked by an automated content filter before it appears. Personal details such as phone numbers are blocked. You can report any post or comment, block anyone, and every report is reviewed by our moderation team. We act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours and remove anyone who breaks our community guidelines. Chattr operates under UK online safety law.

University email confirmation
You confirm a university email address to keep your account. It is never shown next to anything you post.

What you won't find
No follower counts, no profile pictures and no pressure to build an audience.

You must be 18 or over and a student at a UK university.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-10-13

Smoother typing and fewer false alarms.

The comment box now sits right on top of the keyboard, the page stays put when you tap into it, and the bar above the keys is gone.

You'll only see "You're offline" when you actually are. Coming back to the app after a while now just loads your feed, and if you do lose signal the app picks back up by itself once you're connected again.

### 1.1 — 2026-10-01

Typing feels faster: the keyboard toolbar is gone and the comment box follows the keyboard. Opening Chattr from a notification no longer shows a false offline screen. Plus smaller fixes throughout.

### 1.0 — 2026-09-10

No release notes.
