Its help email accounts do not work. Its locations are different in-app versus on the store. It is clearly a scam. I would not have provided any info if I thought I would not have the option to delete it. Violates state data privacy statutes and federal equivalents, also most international ones. Not to mention the deceptive trade practices. These are pig people. I love wasting time, but you should waste your time elsewhere. Update: they think I’m talking about geotargeting and I’m talking about their business’s location. Magnifique. **Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Just to clarify, Chatty does allow users to delete their profile/account directly from the in-app settings (usually under Profile → Settings → Account section). Regarding location data: we use precise location only when you enable it for features like nearby chats (with full user control and consent), and it may display differently based on privacy settings or permissions — this is standard across similar apps and fully compliant with data privacy laws (including CCPA, GDPR equivalents, and others). Waste of time ### 1/5 — Useless *2025-09-22, version 1.3* I downloaded the wrong app by mistake and have tried to delete it several times, my emails get bounced straight back. Cannot get in touch with anybody. ### 1/5 — Deceptive App — Bots, Fake Emails, and No Way to Delete Account *2025-09-07, version 1.2* This app is incredibly dodgy. I signed up and realised immediately it wasn’t for me. Tried to delete my account, but the verification code required to confirm deletion never arrived, despite trying multiple times. The support email listed in the app bounces back as undeliverable, and their App Store contact is deliberately written as chatty@.gmail.com…a fake address. There’s no way to reach them, and no way to delete your data. Worse, I changed my profile picture to something ridiculous and removed all personal info, and suddenly started receiving messages overnight from suspiciously attractive accounts. Either this app is filled with bots or something much worse. Feels like a scam built to trap users into spending money on fake messages. Apple should investigate this app for violating App Store policy and GDPR.
