I will never use them again. Committed to a ticket that was $169. All of the sudden they don’t have that ticket left. So the closest I could get was a ticket for $380 and I had to pay the difference. Worst experience I had. Then the guy “Robert” (or whatever his real name is) from overseas was assuring me that it was not a scam and he lied to me telling me that this was the best he could do. Riddle me this Batman… HOW IS THERE STILL TICKETS ON APP FOR THE SAME PRICE THAT I ORIGINALLY PAID FOR A WEEK LATER!!!!!! So stupid and a waste of time and money. At beginning, it gives you a super low price, once you bought it, then they jacked up the price. If you don’t agree you need to pay cancellation fee no matter you just pay it couple minutes ago. This site should be banned . ### 1/5 — Scammers *2023-06-23, version 1.4* I booked 2 flights on 06-05-23 to Cancún, flight was booked I received confirmation, with in 2hours they called and emailed me and said we are sorry this flight is no more available but we have an other option for you- their option had extra layovers and was not convenient and was 300$ more expensive, after negotiation they offered me 100$ discount which I approved it, next day I saw they charged me 100$ extra as agent fee, Be care full with booking through this app, they will scam you and will try to find ways to get your money ### 1/5 — SCAM.. STAY AWAY *2023-04-15* This app shows bogus prices in order to get you to commit to purchasing a ticket and enter your credit card information. You will get a confirmation from the app but you never get the E-ticket or confirmation number from the airline. Then you get calls from a call center overseas stating that you booked a “restricted” ticket where you can’t bring anything with you not even a carry on and you can’t purchase that at the airport and that you can’t cancel either. Then they claim they will be working with you and try to find you another ticket that’s far more expensive than what you saw online of course and they will not take no for an answer. Specifically, consumers alleged the business failed to provide timely refunds or no refunds on cancelled bookings, failed to honor the original booking price, or the price increased after booking, and failed to provide effective and courteous customer service. FareDepot's customer service manager responded to our concerns stating they were addressing these issues and working to resolve them. He stated that when a refund "is under process by the Airline or the bank the transfer of funds is not in our control" and that they are working on a different method to satisfy "the customer as soon as possible." In regards to pricing changes, he claimed that some changes were due to consumers not providing the necessary documents required to complete transactions and that prices changed consistently in this industry; sometimes multiple times throughout the day. Lastly, FareDepot claimed that some difficulty in obtaining customer service was due to a misunderstanding of their customer service hours. They are currently adding business hours of 9am to 9pm (EST) through various media channels to make this well known. BBB would like to acknowledge the recent efforts of the business to resolve outstanding complaint matters and will continue to monitor complaints to discern if the fundamental issues of the pattern of complaints are resolved.
