We were met by Lucia when we arrived and when we were ready to leave. The location was perfect for us. The beds were all comfortable. We didn’t cook at all but the kitchen was great for our needs (lots of wine glasses ?). The bathroom steps are still scary but we put a light tape on them to see them better. They are each a dark grey now and blend together. Lots of light because of the windows so very pleasant to sit in the main room. All the bedroom windows have blinds so you can be in darkness if you like. Overall, a perfect fit for our group of 4 females traveling together. ### 5/5 — The app is very user friendly, but I do have a suggestion. *2023-07-29* The app is quite easy to pick up and use to find a good place to stay and great things to do where you stay. I just have a suggestion. When filtering you’re choices for a stay, I think it’d be a good idea to be able to specify the type of beds you’re looking for. They even fix the problem if there is one and normally there is not. We are traveling through Europe using Cheap Hotels and it has been nothing but a pleasure. We are going into towns and areas we wouldn’t have otherwise gone because of the location of houses, campsites and farms we are staying at. Every host has been wonderful and we are meeting locals and fellow travelers that we wouldn’t have if we were staying in hotels. It’s a great service, I only wish I would’ve thought of it. I used to have to scrimp and save to go to New York just once a year, and now I can go several times a year. I also am really enjoying living as a local. I just returned from a trip to Melbourne Australia and got to to live as a local in a beautiful Cheap Hotels apartment. It was the highlight of my three weeks in Australia. I try to use Cheap Hotels as often as I can when I travel! We had rented four AirB&B’s for our wedding on April 4th and one from VRBO. When we cancelled mid March when it because apparently that our out of state guests and family couldn’t travel state lines for various reasons. We sent a request to cancel and explained why. AirB&B immediately refunded us 100% and everyone was so understanding. Two months later, we finally got our 100% from VRBO after complaining that they should keep several fees that are normally kept when you cancel within 2 weeks. Our family felt as welcome as if we were visiting an old friend. Sharon felt like she was speaking just to my 17 year old granddaughter, her “fourty-something” mom AND her 71 year old grandparents simultaneously. Sharon has a wonderful grasp and ability to transfer information in a manner that is easily understood and entertaining for every age. Please do yourself and your family a genuine favor and reserve some time with this remarkable lady, you will count time with her as one of the highlights of your visit to Charleston that you will remember. ### 5/5 — For chill people *2023-07-29* Amazing people, really helpful staff. Everything we asked they did or try to solve. The common area of the hotel is beautiful, with a huge space for chilling and relaxing. The party on Friday was so good, the biggest in Hikkaduwa. Not so good points: the breakfast is just ok, they don’t provide towels, the room is basic, no housekeeping and you hear the noise of the party - so impossible to sleep early. Although I really recommend this hotel and definitely would come back!
