There wasn't a way to do that before, so anything you posted by accident, or in the wrong thread, just sort of stayed there. If you're the host you can delete anyone's comments and check-ins. Reports already came to you, but there wasn't actually anything you could do about one from inside the app, which was mostly the point of them. The comment box grows as you type. It was stuck at one line before, so anything longer than a few words scrolled sideways through a little window and you couldn't really read what you'd written. Commenting moved into the check-in itself. The box on the feed could only post a plain comment to one group, no replies and no gifs, so you were quietly getting less than you would by opening it. Tapping "Add a comment" opens the check-in with the keyboard already up. Places should be consistent between people now. The name was coming from whatever language your phone is set to, so the same spot could save as Lisbon for one of you and Lissabon for another. ### 1.26.2 — 2026-08-25 Places. Every spot your group has checked in from, drawn on one map. Each place shows one of its own photos rather than a pin, and places close together collapse into one until you zoom in. There are lakes, rivers and towns on the map so you can tell where somewhere is without needing labels, and if you are in more than one group you can see everywhere at once, each place ringed in its group's colour. Tap anywhere you have been to see the photos from it. An activity bell. It sits on your profile and holds everything that happened while you were not looking: comments on your check-ins, replies to your comments, likes, going back as far as you have been in the group. So a notification you missed or swiped away is not gone. Notifications that take you to the right place. Tapping one lands on the actual comment now instead of the top of the thread, and lights it up so you can tell which one it meant. If you are in more than one group it opens the right group's check-in, where before it would sometimes guess and land you somewhere unrelated. Comments across groups. Commenting on a check-in you shared to several groups now goes to all of them at once, shows up once instead of once per group, and notifies people once instead of three times. You can still pick a single group if you would rather. Photos and a video in the same check-in. It used to be one or the other for no particular reason. Smaller things: a blocked people list in Settings so you can see who you have blocked and undo it, reporting a check-in from the check-in itself rather than only from the feed, and comment buttons that are big enough to actually hit. ### 1.19.1 — 2026-08-18 Video clips. Record or pick a video, trim it down to ten seconds, and post it like a photo. Clips play as you scroll, with sound following your ring/silent switch, and tapping one opens it full screen right where it left off. GIFs. There's a GIF button now when you write a check-in or a comment. Recaps. Your group gets a recap post covering the period: one swipeable deck opening on a cover made from that period's own photos, with the most-loved check-ins ranked behind it and everyone who posted included. Hosts choose weekly or monthly, or generate one any time from group settings. You also pick up a title on your profile from it, like Night Owl or Quiet Achiever. Memories. A place to look back through the group's history: a random old check-in, the trips and nights out you all posted from pulled back together into one place, your history month by month, and old photos nobody ever got round to liking. It isn't in the tab bar - have a look around the bottom of the feed. Smaller things: invite links that open straight into the app and fill in the group address, tagging people on a check-in shared to several groups, filtering the feed by more than one place at once, saving any photo or clip to your camera roll, replying to a comment so that person gets notified, and one notification instead of three when a check-in is shared to groups you are both in. ### 1.5 — 2026-07-23 You can now filter the feed by more than one place at once instead of just picking one, and the filter menu itself got fixed up - it was creeping up under the status bar before, and the buttons could get pushed off screen if you had a lot of groups. A few reliability fixes: your own profile now shows correctly no matter which group you're looking at it from, and your photo syncs across every group instead of just the one you updated it on. Liking a check-in that's shared to more than one of your groups only counts as one like now instead of one per group. Comment replies are in too, and likes and your profile should stick better instead of occasionally resetting. A couple of smaller things: swiping between photos in the full screen viewer works properly again, scrolling through the merged view keeps loading older posts instead of stopping after the first page, and photos aren't stuck cropped to a square anymore. ### 1.4 — 2026-07-16 When you share a check-in to more than one group, it now shows up as a single post instead of one per group. The likes and comments from each group get pulled together so you see them in one place, but each group still only sees its own comments. There's a daily summary option in notification settings now. Instead of a ping for every check-in you get one recap at a time you pick, and replies and likes still come through right away.
