Preferably black, would look more professional than baby/girly purple. Update: decided to go ahead and pay for the subscription, they’ve added dark mode which is a plus, but stopped support for Android which is my other phone. I paid for premium features a few months ago. I replaced my iPad and cannot “restore purchase” to continue getting paid ad-free app on my new iPad. I’ve emailed the developer. No response. If the developer can’t or won’t support the app then no one should pay. Keep searching for an app with better support. ——— original 4-star review ———- I’ve tried several e-checkbook apps. This app works OK, does the basic job of capturing debits and credits, allows you to assign cost categories for record keeping, input memos, etc. Most importantly, it allows you to backup data to YOUR iCloud account, which I appreciate. Where the app needs improvement: 1) The app deals with money tracking. That’s the main thing. All numerical input should assume a decimal input for USD, and automatically start with a .xx starting point, instead of making you input decimals into every entry. At the very least, it should default to a 2-place decimal input for USD, and similar monetary systems. My banking apps are all configured to assume a 2-decimal starting point for USD amounts. Please follow suit. 2) The app allows you to backup to iCloud, which is good. It also allows you to “restore” from iCloud. Again, a good thing. But why not “sync” with iCloud? Or, at the very least, add an “automatic” or scheduled backup feature. If I normally input checkbook entries on my iPad, where I pay bills and utilities, and need to add entries from my iPhone while I’m out shopping, I have to perform a “backup” from iPad to iCloud, to ensure I don’t over-write entries input in the other device before the last backup. Then, I have to open the app on the iPhone and “restore latest backup” before I can add new entries, to ensure I don’t overwrite data from the iPad when I get home and do the whole ‘backup/restore’ dance again. If you only use this app on one device, this may not be a major issue for you…unless you want/need/prefer automatic or scheduled backups.
