## What is CheckEnt?

CheckEnt: Your ultimate entertainment hub

Never remember where you left off with that last episode, or the next board game you wanted to try? CheckEnt is the ultimate app to catalog, discover and share all your passions in one place!

Whether you're a movie buff, a hardcore gamer or a manga devourer, CheckEnt adapts to your taste. Keep track of Movies, TV Series, Anime, OAV, Manga, Books, Comics, Board games, Video games and TCG (Trading Card Games) in a simple, intuitive way.

- An app tailored to you
Your entertainment, your rules. In the settings you can customize the main menu by enabling only the categories you care about. Don't watch anime or read manga? Turn them off with a tap to keep your library clean and tidy. You can also set your Country to get cinema and streaming releases that are truly relevant to you.

- Not sure what to pick? Let CheckEnt decide
With "What to watch tonight" and "What to play tonight" you get tailored suggestions among the movies, series, anime, video games and board games in your library: one tap is all it takes to decide how to spend your evening.

- Track and discover what's new
Catalog your passions by marking them as Watched, Read or Played. Discover the latest trends and never miss a new release thanks to personalized notifications: we'll even let you know when a movie on your list finally lands on streaming.

- Follow your idols and favorite brands
Stay up to date by following your favorite actors, writers or video game studios directly. You'll get a notification every time there's news about them!

- A profile that's all yours
Make your profile unique: choose the app's color theme, set a backdrop with posters of your favorite movies, series, anime or games, and show off your badges. Set your goals with the Annual Challenge, creating up to 6 different targets to reach during the year.

- Rate, review and help the community
Share your opinion by rating everything you watch, read or play. In the Video games and Board games sections you can write full reviews. For board games you can enrich your review with a link to a YouTube tutorial to help others learn the rules! Comment, reply, "like" and follow other users: discover what people who share your taste are watching and playing.

- Manage your card collection (TCG)
Catalog your cards from the most popular trading card games, keep an eye on your collection's value with updated prices and trend charts, and see at a glance how many copies of each card you own.

- The perfect board game companion
CheckEnt isn't just a catalog, it's a real gaming assistant. Use the built-in tools to count points, roll dice or set timers during your challenges at the table.

- Host unforgettable "Parties"
Want to throw a Catan-themed night? Use the Party feature! Create an event, pick the game from your library, set place and time and generate an invite link. Your friends can reply "Accept" or "Decline" right from the app. And if you simply want to recommend a movie or a comic, just tap Share to send the link to whoever you like.

- Supported languages
CheckEnt speaks your language. The app is available in: Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, Turkish and Dutch.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.0.1 — 2026-08-23

Discover now opens with a showcase.

Full-bleed artwork, title and synopsis, the rating: films, series, anime and games mixed together, moving on their own with a small bar showing how long until the next one. Because people who open Discover haven't decided what they want yet, and six identical rows of covers tell them nothing.

**How far you've got, where it matters**
• On a series page: episodes left and hours to go, not just in your list
• "At 2 episodes a night you're done on September 3rd" — tap to change the pace, and it sticks across every series

**Send it as an image**
• A title, a list or your day streak becomes a card, with a preview before you send it
• A list card shows its first covers: that's how a list is recognised, not by its name

**Rankings**
• The yearly one arrives, alongside week and month
• Plus the archive: every past ranking, open them one by one

**Fixed**
• Comments and memes on a series unlock by themselves once you've marked every episode — no more "mark as finished"
• Anime titles are readable: where a translation is missing we use the English one
• Popular games actually change — they were sorted by all-time ratings, so they couldn't move
• Trailer audio no longer switches itself off after a while
• List titles are legible again: they shared one line with six buttons and got cut to a single letter
• The idea board opens on proposals still under review, not on ones already decided

Thanks to everyone who writes in — we read all of it.

### 2.0.0 — 2026-08-19

CheckEnt 2.0. The part with other people in it.

Lists
• Lists can finally be found: a row in Discover and a screen that browses them all
• Save one and it sits with yours — we'll tell you when its author adds something
• Likes and replies under every public list
• Set the order yourself, so a list can also mean "watch them in this order"
• Choose which categories it shows up in — and one list can hold films, books and games together

Something to aim at
• Twelve challenges a week, changing every Monday, worth points on the leaderboard
• Day streak: the more you come back, the more each day is worth. With a calendar of what you marked, day by day
• Levels up to a hundred, on your profile
• Weekly and monthly leaderboards, with a breakdown of where your points came from

The quiz
• Ten questions a round, ten categories, four difficulties. Questions you've answered never come back

Community
• "Who watches like you": people found from what you've both watched, read and played
• In groups you can tie a message to a title — and now to a single episode: people who are behind won't read it
• Ideas on the board can be discussed, and staff replies stand out

Around the app
• A details panel on films, series and anime: original title, status, dates, language, country, network
• Age ratings, with the country they come from
• Grid or list, wherever you like, without losing the buttons
• Sign in with Google or Apple from the sign-up screen too
• Privacy: pick where you show up — leaderboards, community, search, profile — one box at a time

Thanks to everyone who wrote in. Keep going: all of it gets read.

### 1.2.3 — 2026-08-13

Half-star ratings: ten stars, twenty levels. Drag your finger or use the buttons for half points. Your existing ratings stay exactly as they are.

CheckRequest: one question about entertainment every day. Vote, see how everyone else sees it, and join the discussion. Past questions live in the archive, and you can still vote on those.

Profile picture: pick your photo and change it whenever you like.

Notification centre: the bell keeps every alert — releases, replies, new followers. Read them again whenever you want, archive them once you're done.

Tidier comments: three under each title, the rest on a page of their own. The bubble at the top takes you straight to the discussion.

### 1.2.2 — 2026-08-10

Books now come from Google Books: richer pages with ISBN, page count, genres and descriptions in your language. New author page: open a book's author to see everything they wrote, and follow them.
Notifications can now be picked one by one: movies, TV shows, anime, games, people you follow, comment replies.
Better author search, fixed scrolling in lists and the missing cover in your library.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-06

• Trakt import: upload your export .zip directly — movies, shows, watched episodes and ratings.
• Rate individual seasons and episodes, not just the whole title.
• Titles now show where each score comes from (TMDB, IGDB, BGG…) alongside the CheckEnt community average.
• Improved search: comics and board games now appear in results and suggestions.
• The app version is now shown at the bottom of Settings.
• Various fixes and stability improvements.
