Whoever designed this update, should be fired immediately. Going to the checker cab company today Lots of your cabs will have eggs thrown at them going foward ### 1/5 — Charged me for a ride I never took! *2025-06-19, version 36.0.9* The new app is dreadful. Sat and watched my cab drive around in circles 2 blocks over from where I was then when he didn’t find me it charged me for the ride. When I tried to rebook it told me I was located somewhere different from where I was stood. Hard to pay on app Difficult to put pick up address in always wrong location given. Old app also had a place to put a note to help driver find you this one doesn’t. The automatically selected trip origin was incorrect but since it is never displayed, I had no idea it was wrong and needed to be corrected. The driver finally found me but was very upset - with me! This should be fixed ASAP. ### 1/5 — Where is the parent tracker? *2025-09-05, version 36.0.9* 4 months since the changes in the app and still no parent tracker, you would think this would be a priority to fix/correct! Some of us have young children and would like to know where the taxi is and when it will show up! ### 1/5 — Unsafe and Overpriced Ride, Never Again *2025-08-30, version 36.0.9* I booked a cab through the app for five passengers, and while the driver arrived quickly — within a minute of booking — the experience went downhill from there. The cab was dirty, with broken glass inside, and despite having children with me, the driver rolled the windows down because there was no air conditioning. The vehicle wasn’t the proper size for our group either; instead of a van for six passengers, we were crammed four across the back seat, and some of us didn’t even have seatbelts. It felt very unsafe. Mid-ride, another driver even called, angry that I’d taken “the wrong cab,” which the driver brushed off as a system glitch. To top it all off, the fixed $40 fare shown in the app was canceled, and I was charged based on the meter instead — which mysteriously climbed to $55 after “fees.” This was an uncomfortable, unsafe, and overpriced experience that I won’t be repeating. ### 1/5 — driver overcharged *2025-08-28, version 36.0.9* I took the bus from the airport to Crowfoot, which is a distance of 29 kilometers. Upon arrival, the driver demanded that we pay not only for the service but also for his return trip, claiming he would be returning without passengers. This completely took us by surprise, as we are not from this city, and in the end we were misled into paying $100 for the service, when according to the official website the fare is $60. This is a total abuse. I am very disappointed by the way these services are taking advantage of tourists. ### 1/5 — Worst app *2025-08-21, version 36.0.9* It never has the right pick up destination. I use the app to watch checker cab drive around lost. Call associated cab! The driver was very kind and courteous.
