i downloaded this because tiktok recommended it was better than yuka for scanning self care products but it doesnt recognize half of the stuff i put the camera too, not even the “not your mothers” brand?? it was really irritating so ill be sticking to yuka until i find something else.

I scanned several products that specifically say gluten free on them and this app says contains gluten.    Examples Gluten Free Cheese it’s.  Goobers which says gluten free.   I accidentally pointed it at the carpet and it said it was turkey sticks.  As important as gluten free is for Celiacs I would definitely avoid this app.

When advertising directly to consumers with food allergies…. The slogan “Don’t trust the label” is absolutely deranged. I got the app just to leave you this feedback and will now delete.  People with food allergies rely on product labels for their actual lives. Who did your marketing?

Not sure how they did it but you don’t have to scan a barcode with this thing. Super useful, just aimed my phone and it showed me this stuff had peanuts. Dayum.

I and my kids have food allergies and grocery shopping used to be exhausting. Checkit makes it easy and has become part of our weekly shopping ritual. 

The spatial scanner is the killer feature, you just point your phone at the shelf and it instantly shows which products work for you in the camera. No scanning barcodes one by one. It’s fast enough to use every week, not just “once in a while” 

I now scan an aisle, grab what’s safe for my allergies and my own health goals, and move on. Huge time saver and way less stress. Highly recommend if you shop with allergies or have specific diet goals, Checkit is personalized for you vs the average
