The slogan “Don’t trust the label” is absolutely deranged. I got the app just to leave you this feedback and will now delete. People with food allergies rely on product labels for their actual lives. Examples Gluten Free Cheese it’s. Goobers which says gluten free. I accidentally pointed it at the carpet and it said it was turkey sticks. I even took a close up of the logo and it came up with something else. My biggest issues is that you can’t manually enter a product and of course the app harassers you to pay money. Checkit makes it easy and has become part of our weekly shopping ritual. The spatial scanner is the killer feature, you just point your phone at the shelf and it instantly shows which products work for you in the camera. No scanning barcodes one by one. It’s fast enough to use every week, not just “once in a while” I now scan an aisle, grab what’s safe for my allergies and my own health goals, and move on. Huge time saver and way less stress. Recognizes products instantly and I don’t have to fidget and find the barcode like other apps.
