Before signing up great discounts after none
Before I signed up with Checkmate, I was getting great percentages codes for a discount at retailers. I actually shop with now that I have signed up and I have this app. It basically sends me to stores to use the cash that I’ve earned to stores that I would never shop at like Lands’ End or anthropology or just stores that to me are not appealing whatsoever so where is the actual discounts that I used to get like I used to get 15% off at my favorite brand which is L’ AGENCe? So I feel disappointed that I signed up and I don’t get these good percentages off of that retailer. What is the point of this if I can’t use the cashback wherever I want

Requires fishy ID process
In order to get your cash back, you have to verify your identity through Veriff. This is not standard for this kind of extension and I’ve used several alternatives that never asked for ID verification. Further, the company they use for verification, Veriff, has 1.3/5 stars on Trustpilot and is based in Estonia. They had a data leak in late 2025 that exposed people’s license pictures and personal data. I’d love to be able to get cash back through this platform but it’s unfortunately not worth the risks of providing my ID.
