## What is CHECKN.IN?

As parents, the safety of our children is of unrivaled importance. In the modern era, we do everything we can to create a safe and healthy environment for them as they grow. Many strategies and tactics have been created, but finding a balance between safety and healthy relationships has always proven challenging for many families. At CHECKN.IN we aim to provide that very balance by promoting willful communication with mutual respect between child and parent. Here’s how it works!
As a parent, you can create a Parent account and add as many of your children as you like to it via their phone numbers. This will send them each a link to download their own version of the app! Then, anytime you want to confirm your child’s whereabouts or surroundings, you simply select them and send a Check-in request. 
At the other end, the child will receive a notification that will open the camera in the CHECKN.IN app. They take a selfie, and it sends it over to the parent’s app, along with GPS data! This camera is designed to just look like an ordinary cell phone camera, so your kid has no need to worry about being embarrassed that their parents are checking in on them. In fact, taking the selfie with friends is even better! As a parent, I could see that my child is with the friends they told me they’d be with, at the restaurant they told me they would be at! 
CHECKN.IN encourages mutual respect and communication by providing an avenue for children to satisfy safety requirements for communication without causing them discomfort or strife. It is intuitive and non-invasive, and created by the very people who want to use it. And, best of all, as of right now it is 100% free!
