## What is Checkpoint English?

Checkpoint English is voice practice for the FMCSA roadside English proficiency check. Since June 2025, a commercial driver who cannot pass that check is placed out of service on the spot. This app drills the two steps of the check until they are routine.

AI OFFICER, HANDS-FREE
Tap once and just talk. A live AI officer runs the roadside interview with you: where are you coming from, where are you headed, what are you hauling, how long on duty, show me your logs. It listens, asks follow-ups when an answer is thin, and gives you one short fix you can repeat. Say "repeat", "slower", or "stop" like you would to a person. The screen stays dark and nothing needs a touch while you are rolling.

SIGN TEST
Real highway signs and electronic message boards: low clearance, weigh station, lane closed, chains required, runaway truck ramp. You say what each sign means, not the words on it, and the app grades the meaning. Signs run only while parked.

NOTES IN YOUR LANGUAGE
After every session you get a short note in Spanish, Somali, Punjabi, Russian, Ukrainian, Arabic, or English: how it went, the one fix that matters most, and an English sentence to repeat. All speaking practice stays in English, because that is what the officer hears.

READINESS SCORE
One number and a skill breakdown after every session, so you know what to practice next.

BUILT FOR THE CAB
Works over Bluetooth or the phone speaker. Haptic taps tell you when the officer is listening and when an answer lands. Practice on your 30-minute break or your 10-hour reset.
