But the last couple of visits, after joining the wait list, I get checked in twice and receive no text updates until after we are seated at the table. ### 3/5 — Usual chef must have been off yesterday. *2024-11-19, version 4.7.0* My friend and I eat at the Longview Tx location almost weekly and always enjoy it. But yesterday we ordered our usual fall off the bone ribs and they weren’t as tasty as usual. It seemed like they weren’t cooked long enough and it was difficult to get the meat off the bones. And there was a whole layer of fat right under the bbq sauce. Usually they are so tender and we look forward to taking part of them home to enjoy later but yesterday was an exception and we probably won’t eat the rest of them. Sorry for this bad review but they just weren’t as good as we’ve had in the past. If I try using the button, the button greys out but without making a booking. ### 1/5 — Curbside Ordering Needs to be Fixed! *2024-01-13, version 3.4.0* On 01/12/24, we tried to place a curbside order, but the app kept saying there was some sort of issue and the order was not processed. We thought maybe it was because my boyfriend used his card on my app account, so we switched to my card…still gave us errors. We decided to order from another restaurant. The Cheddars order didn’t show up in the “recent orders”, nor did we receive a text or email about an order. But about 20min after all this, we receive a text saying our order will be ready to pick up. Meanwhile, still no history/confirmation of said order in app and still didn’t receive the normal email we receive with orders. As a matter of fact, the items we were trying to order were still in the cart. The restaurant is supposed to issue a refund, obviously not the location’s fault. I decided to use the app instead of calling directly. I SPECIFICALLY picked the location near my house and delayed to order to accommodate my drive home. This is done first prior to placing the order. I made my selection and paid for the meal then began my drive. Apparently the app thought in its infinite wisdom to change the location to near where I started instead of what I had chosen. I drive home and arrive at the Cheddars I selected. I parked and replied the the text letting them know I was there. I walked inside to minimize the delay only to see that my order was not therewith. I open the app and then see that the location had changed. The Cheddars at the incorrect location called looking for me. They wanted to know if I wanted to drive the 55 miles back to them and pickup the order just so I could turn around and drive the 55 miles back to my house. First of all I ordered Country fried Chicken with potato soup and plain mashed potatoes with extra butter but my recipe says..single fried chicken Texas toast mashed potato and potato soup. My granddaughter ordered chicken Alfredo with shrimp. She had a Texas toast because I did not with my meal she ordered a Ceaser salad which waiter did not bring any dressing after he brings our meal I was very dissatisfied my mashed potatoes had gravy on top of them I asked for more potatoes with butter on the side he gave me a child size portion but on my plate sat the regular serving that was adult sized with gravy on it, he was upset he even had to replace it. Someone else brought the salad dressing and he again upset that she wanted dressing she could put in her salad he would say he would get us napkin’s but would clear a table first or serve another table first not once did he come and say is everything good or did we need more water or anything my granddaughter got a refill on water after asking as we were paying the check, which was another issue I clearly asked what sides were free since I couldn’t order a salad without being charged a full price. The last two or three times I’ve tried to order food on the app, I get a screen that says, “Oops!” and nothing else. The app used to work so beautifully. It was convient to order o. the app and stop by to pick up food on the way through town. I have deleted the app and reinstalled multiple times. That hasn’t helped. ### 1/5 — Creepy new invasive “feature!” *2024-07-30, version 3.6.0* I’ve had the Cheddar’s, Olive Garden, and Longhorn Steakhouse apps installed for awhile so I can order from them easily. This was fine until the devs installed an annoying and creepy new “feature” with the latest update. All of a sudden anytime I clicked on a phone number from a website, app, or even from my contacts list - Cheddars, Olive Garden, and Longhorn Steakhouse suddenly showed up in this menu! They aren’t even in my contacts list! I DO NOT want to see their names pop up when I’m just trying to call my friends or a phone number for a business on a website. This is absolutely invasive, controlling, and ridiculous! I tried turning off multiple settings and the only way I could get rid of them was to delete the apps. Unfortunately this didn’t completely remove them - now the drop down menu says “phone phone phone” where their names used to be. So my call drop down menu has been permanently maimed by these apps! I’m reporting the apps to Apple and will never frequent these restaurants again - they’ve lost a customer! The food is always served fresh fast and delicious. WeGo to the one in Coralville Iowa. It’s located near the interstate in the next town over. It’s definitely worth the drive. The chicken pot pie is our favorite. It is creamy fresh tasting and the crust is delicious. We have explored other menu options and everything that we’ve had is so good that it’s hard to pick from so we keep trying new things. Our standard will always be the chicken pot pie.
