I found out about it just before the holidays, and like some people, I typically wait until the very last minute to do my Christmas shopping. So when I came across Cheerful, I was able to avoid the picked over products and long lines at the South Coast Plaza Mall (which is absolute mayhem around the holidays) with their spot on gift recommendations. The user experience on the app is simple and straightforward, and saved me a whole lot of stress. This app recommends gifts for people based on their likes, and you can type in anything you want to help describe their preferences. You don’t log in. They don’t collect your info. They don’t collect your friends’ info. They just act as a search engine for plausible gifts within your budget, and they make money from affiliate links, so they get paid only when you buy something. It’s a win-win all around. And much to my delight, the app does exactly what it claims to do. Gift giving is my love language so I always put in a lot of thoughts when it comes to presents and messages. But due to to the current economy, it’s getting quite difficult to find items for so many people when you’re under a certain budget so you can bet I felt super excited when I discovered cheerful. The app gives you a lot of options to select what type of gift you can look for, and the best part it’s the budget you can set for those gifts. I highly suggest this app for a birthday present of Christmas and you can add as many people as you want and you can choose a price 25 50 or 100 and it will find the prices. My friend Ben suggested this app to me after he was regifted a water bottle I got someone else and I’m going to use it for every occasion that has me bringing a gift. With only a few steps and keywords I was able to find items that actually seemed personalized to my people.
