My only wish is that longer watering intervals are available. I have a cactus that only gets water twice a year, and the longest watering interval is Much shorter than that. **Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback! I’m always more willing to purchase a lifetime then a yearly subscription **Developer response:** I completely understand not wanting to have a subscription. It is a lifesaver since I can’t remember when I last watered my hundred or so plants. When I did have an issue (it was on me) the response was prompt and very detailed! Love it for my succulents as well as my houseplants. Whenever I have a problem the developer is quick to initiate a fix, whether it’s from the app or something I was doing wrong. It is so easy to know when you need to water, fertilize, etc. This would be a wonderful app for a newbie to get started with. **Developer response:** Thank you! Before when you opened the app, the plants that needed to be watered were listed by location. Now when the app is opened, the are all listed whether they need to be watered. Plus they are not listed by location but name. To find out what plants need to be watered, you need to open another tab & again listed by name not location. I can change the category list to location but that is another step I have to take. It id harder to find what plants need to be watered with this upgrade. And the light background (as opposed to the previous black) make reading the plant names more difficult. I’ve had this app since its inception & have a yearly subscription (which just renewed). I’ll be looking for another app for my 100+ plants if this upgrade is not corrected. Most users do not like a whole new look/system to apps they’ve enjoyed in the past. Please fix this horrible update ### 1/5 — Unable to load photos *2025-07-01* I wanted to try this and started to add my first plant. After giving the app permission to use selected photos off my phone through settings, I was unable to load them. The app button “My Photos” does nothing. My only option would be to take new photos. The app does nothing function as it is supposed to. **Developer response:** Thank you for letting us know! We've made significant updates to the app that should improve this function. Please reach out if you'd like to try using the app again. ### 1/5 — NOT HELPFUL *2023-07-10* IMO this app is basically useless. It does not identify succulents. It does not offer any suggestions or helpful info about the plants. I guess it could be useful to someone that knows everything about every succulent but I'm not that person. The user has to enter all details about the plant & set all the reminders. I thought it would help me learn about my succulents but this is not the case. I'll be canceling my subscription. I've had other apps that offer these features, I'll return to those. ### 1/5 — Have to subscribe if more than 5 plants *2023-02-12, version 1.5.5* The description said “in app purchases” but I didn’t read anything that said if you have more than 5 plants, you have to subscribe for a monthly or yearly fee to add them. What really ticked me off was that you’re not informed of this until you’ve already given them your email and mobile phone number. 😡 ### 1/5 — Why the phone number? *2023-01-08* I was excited to download and use the app until I see it requires a phone number. I am another one choosing not to use it now. I see you are requiring it in case I get a new phone. Why not use an email and password like most other apps? I’d rather lose all my saved data than give a random app my phone number. And access to my search history. **Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. The phone number is not used for any other purpose other than syncing between devices. No thanks *2022-03-15, version 1.05* Sorry, but demanding my phone number for a plant tracking app is a deal breaker. ### 3/5 — Attractive, but lacks tools *2024-05-26* Attractive, but lacks tools you would expect from a plant identification and care app. I was expecting a “succulent” app to be dedicated to identification and care of succulents, but it lacks those features. I f you do not already know why your plant is, and how to care for it, this will not help because it is little more than a database and reminder. There is a buried plant database, but it is manual l. It has filters, but you need to know you have a Crassula to narrow down to anything similar and it does not seem to load all of the photos, so you have to tap to see what each Crassula is. It is a little odd that you cannot enter the last time a plant was watered if it was watered before you added it. Would be nice to expand the data base for plants, can’t find info for most of my succulents. ### 5/5 — I love it *2025-02-28* This is my favorite plant app! I love that its a tracker so you can take notes and track how often you water or treat for pests or repot. Its just nice to have that info to look on. I also love that you can track their growth by taking pictures. Its so cool to look back on when you first got the plant and see how much its changed over time. I even note my soil mix ingredients so that if its not working out for a certain plant I can tweak it. Great app **Developer response:** Thank you! Being reminded when to water them helps me both not under water or over water the succulents and cacti I’ve been keeping, which my friend tends to do. Would recommend to new and current succulent caretakers. My only complaint is that I cannot find the plant known as a desert rose in their database, which I would’ve liked if for nothing else to have another opinion on how often to water it. Any issues I experienced were because of me (Operator Error) Customer service was excellent. Well worth the subscription fee. (You can also use it for free with a couple plants) The more I learn what all the app can do the more I love it. ### 5/5 — Love this App!! *2024-01-13* I started my succulent obsession in February 2023 and now have 80+ plants and my collection continues to grow. All of my succulents are indoors and I needed a way to keep organized for their care. This App is wonderful and very user friendly. This App also lets you keep a photo journal of my succulents’ progress which I love. Yes, there is a fee if you have more than 5 plants, but it is minimal and so very worth it. I would be lost without this App. And, if you have plants indoors and outdoors, you can designate the plants location. **Developer response:** Thank you! Lol. My poor ADHD brain has had a slightly difficult time keeping track of the minutiae for every plant. A few months ago, I dreamed up an app that would help. THIS is the app! I found it! And it’s almost perfect. **NOTE: This isn’t an ID or Diagnostic app!** It’s a Helper app: To help keep track of your succulents. I’ve tried a few other apps that try to “do it all,” but they all fell short for me. I think this one is the best. There’s no AI feature for diagnosing problems or identifying unknown succulents, but what it DOES do, it does really WELL! It took a little while to get comfortable with it, but getting started was pretty simple and easy. I had plants put in, named (genus, species & variety, and cultivar), nicknamed, tagged, photographed, and organized really quickly. When I’ve wanted a feature, I’ve quickly realized that the feature already existed, I just hadn’t discovered it yet. For instance, I have different species of succulent props together in one dish: I can enter them each individually, and when I water the whole dish, I can bring up their tag (propdish) and log “water” for all of them as a group, instead having to log it for each one, separately. I’m really pleased with this app overall. Pretty much everything I need is easy to see and keep track of. No more losing track of when something was watered or repotted last.
