Cheers I never received. *2026-11-03* I so badly wanted to love this app, but felt that it was just OK. More than half of the cheers were robotic voices versus recordings. I’m not sure if the person who was leaving the cheer had a choice to either type a message that was read to me or voice record, but the voice recorded messages were way better. I also had a few friends who asked if I received their cheer, which I did not. I’m not sure what happened with that, but it was pretty sad to know that they sent them and I never received them. ### 5/5 — Great Motivator *2026-10-28* Really love this app. The only negative I would say is that you have to manually start your race. Aside from already having race day jitters and making sure my watch is tracking from the start, it’s another thing to start…it would be easier to just have it automatically start at the set time. **Developer response:** Thanks Ally! Good tip, race morning has enough going on already, and we're working on improvements and reminders for that. We're so happy your people kept you going out there. Thank you for letting us join you on such a big day. Hope to see you again soon. ### 5/5 — Amazing! *2026-10-28* This is an amazing app!!! I loved each personalised audio, made me smile, laugh tear up and just appreciate the people I have in my life 🫶🏾 **Developer response:** You have wonderful people in your life, and we're so happy you could hear every one of their voices while you ran. Thank you for letting us join you on such a big day. Hope to see you again soon. ### 5/5 — Great app *2026-10-27* Great app and definitely recommend it! It helped me massively on my ultra marathon to gear friends and family there supporting me. **Developer response:** Thanks Kazza! An ultra marathon with your friends and family cheering you through every mile, what a day. We're so happy their voices were out there with you. Thank you for letting us join you on such a big day. Hope to see you again soon. ### 5/5 — Love it!! *2026-10-27* I used it for the Marine Corp Marathon. I was on the fence about whether to do it. I am so thankful I did! Hearing my families voices while I ran was incredible. I was chasing a Boston Qualifying time, and I got it! It was close too, no way that happens without it. **Developer response:** A Boston Qualifying time at Marine Corps, congratulations! We're so happy your family's voices were with you all the way to the finish. Thank you for letting us join you on such a big day. Hope to see you again soon. ### 5/5 — I ran the ADT *2026-10-27* I loved this app, it definitely helped me when I needed an extra push, being able to hear what my loved ones needed to say to me and knew what I needed during this race was emotionally satisfying I cried every time I heard a voice message hahah, it was easy for them and for me to activate a link and make this happen, I’d definitely use it again! **Developer response:** Happy tears are the best kind! We're so glad your loved ones were right there every time you needed that extra push. Thank you for letting us join you on such a big day. Hope to see you again soon. ### 5/5 — This made the difference *2026-10-27* To hear every word of encouragement sent my way had me in tears, laughter, It made me realize how lucky and fortunate I am. This app is gold! Thank you **Developer response:** Tears and laughter in one run, what a crowd you have behind you! We're so happy you could hear every word of encouragement out there. Thank you for letting us join you on such a big day. Hope to see you again soon. ### 5/5 — Nike After Dark *2026-10-27* Great app, it definitely gave me the push that I needed when I felt like giving up..my family cheers were programmed to come at a specific mile and somehow they all knew when I would need it!!! Love this app and will use it again ☺️ **Developer response:** Thank you so much! We're so happy your family's cheers landed right when you needed that push at Nike After Dark. Thank you for letting us join you on such a big day. Hope to see you again soon. ### 5/5 — Amazing! *2026-10-25* This app was amazing. It was so encouraging and just made me so happy that people could connect and leave messages for me as a I ran a half-marathon. The times when I wanted to quit, a message came through. Highly recommend! **Developer response:** Congrats on your half marathon! We're so happy those messages from your people showed up right when you needed them most. Thank you for letting us join you on such a big day. Hope to see you again soon. ### 5/5 — I loved it!! *2026-10-23* Such a great addition to race day. Hearing cheers from your people really keeps you going. I liked that they could voice record or text, and that they could cheer live or set for a certain kilometer. I liked that they could just click on a link and didn’t have to download anything. I wish there was a cheaper option to pay for just 1 race, but that’s okay it was worth the money. Would recommend! **Developer response:** Thanks Nicole! We're so happy your people could keep you going all race long, live or right on the kilometer they picked. Good tip on a single race option, we are exploring ways to make CheerMyRun easier to try. Thank you for letting us join you on such a big day, hope to see you again at your next race! ### 5/5 — 1/2 Marathon *2026-10-21* I used this app for my first half marathon and it was so wonderful. I ended up not using the cheers until after I finished. They reached out to me personally to congratulate me and make sure the app was working properly. 10/10 experience. **Developer response:** Congrats on your first half marathon, Gibielle! We're so happy you got to enjoy every one of those cheers at the finish, and that we could celebrate with you. Thank you for letting us join you on such a big day, hope to see you again at your next race! ### 5/5 — Great app! *2026-10-21* What a great way to stay connected and feel all the support of my loved ones who couldn’t be there to cheer me on in person! I will 100% use this app again. The cheers helped me push through the hard moments. **Developer response:** We're so happy your loved ones could be with you even from afar, and that their cheers got you through the hard moments! Thank you for letting us join you on such a big day. Hope to see you again soon. ### 5/5 — Great app *2026-10-20* Loved this app, really easy to use and was great to have the messages come straight through to my headphones throughout the race really gave me the push I needed **Developer response:** Thanks Amy! We're so happy you could hear your people in your headphones the whole way and that it gave you the push you needed. Thank you for letting us join you on such a big day. Hope to see you again soon. ### 1/5 — Wanted to love it but nope *2026-10-29* When it works, it’s great. But half of the messages didn’t go through. Different users. All tech savvy enough to press a few buttons, and all had successful and unsuccessful messages. I emailed tech support 3 weeks ago and there was communication but no resolution. Just a request for time to look into it. I asked for a refund. I wouldn’t bother on this app. Spotty message receiving makes it pointless. **Developer response:** Sarah, you gave us a real chance and we're sorry not all of your family's cheers reached you. We did answer each of your emails and added 30 free days while the team looked into it, but we know that is not the same as a fix. Since you subscribed through Apple, only Apple can issue the refund: if CheerMyRun doesn't show at reportaproblem.apple.com, getsupport.apple.com can do it directly. ### 1/5 — Misleading advertisement *2026-10-11* Can’t use app at all if you don’t pay. No trial period even **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback! Cheer My Run is subscription only right now, and we are exploring options to make it easier to try. If you have any questions or want a hand with your plan, write to us at support@cheermyrun.com and we will help you out. ### 1/5 — Hire new developers *2026-10-04* Same issue as everyone else glitchy app that breaks with simple actions like adding a profile picture lol wth? **Developer response:** Thanks for flagging this, Andy. We're sorry adding a profile picture failed. Please send your phone model and app version to support@cheermyrun.com so we can look into it. ### 1/5 — Couldn’t complete the onboarding *2026-10-03* I couldn’t get past the registration process, there was no continue button after a few screens. But having now read some reviews I’m glad I couldn’t. Doesn’t sound like there is enough value in it for a subscription. As others have said, for maybe one or two runs a year you really want it to be a free or small fee per race type thing. For 10 months of the year I don’t need this. **Developer response:** We're sorry you couldn't finish signing up. An unexpected spike in users slowed sign-up that day, and we apologize. Please write to support@cheermyrun.com and we'll help you get set up. Thanks as well for your feedback on pricing. ### 1/5 — Great Idea-poor execution *2026-09-27* Great idea. Poor execution. Advertising said NOTHING about cost. No first race free to try it. No per race charge. Sad bc it could have been genius. **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback! That changed with our latest update: you can now get into the app and try it before deciding on a plan. Your next race is the perfect chance to give it another go. ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2026-09-26* Tried it on a practice run in prep for the marathon. Started it and the cheers came at the end of a 2 hour run when my wife sent them the night before. I want my money back **Developer response:** Thanks for flagging this! Cheers sent ahead of time play once you start the run in the app. Email support@cheermyrun.com before your marathon and we will get it set up with you. Refunds go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — The Best App for Humanity *2026-11-03* I used the app as my connection to the people I love. I came to New York City by myself to run the marathon, but I’ve never felt closer to my friends and family. That’s because of Cheer My Run. Thank you for creating this. Five stars to any app that restores our sense of humanity. It’s a wonderful app, and it helped carry me all the way to the finish line. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to only leave voice messages. Hearing personal messages is so meaningful. The robot voice for the typed messages was often drowned out by the noise of the streets and spectators, which made the messages less effective. ### 5/5 — Wonderful Tool *2026-11-03* This app helped friends and family cheer me on for my first marathon when they couldn’t be there in person. It’s such a wonderful tool and I love that I can go back and listen to the notes after! ### 5/5 — Amazing for my first half marathon *2026-11-02* If it wasn’t for this app allowing my loved ones to send me voicenotes, I don’t think I would’ve gotten through my race. What a wonderful concept to allow them to place their cheer at different kilometres. Truthfully had such a great experience. I wish I could save these voice notes to my phone!!! **Developer response:** Thanks Cassie! Your first half marathon, carried to the finish by the voices of the people who love you. Good tip on saving the voice notes to your phone, we've noted it. For now you can play them again in the app whenever you want to relive the race. ### 5/5 — Races are easier *2026-11-02* My family was away during my half marathon, this made me feel more supported than I’ve ever felt with them there. My fiancé tracked my location and was able to give me direct feedback where he was and his cheers. This is a game changer **Developer response:** Thanks Ellie! Your family away and your fiancé still right there in your ear, following you live and cheering from wherever he was. Congrats on the half, and hope your next race comes just as loud. ### 5/5 — Amazing experience *2026-11-02* Personally, I am a person that is learning how to be more gentle with myself and celebrating my accomplishments. This app gave me so much motivation while I was running. Being able to hear my love ones cheering me on, was amazing. **Developer response:** Thanks Ana! Learning to celebrate yourself is a big deal, and doing it mid run with your loved ones cheering in your ear makes it even sweeter. Keep collecting those wins, we'd love to run with you again. ### 5/5 — Game changer!! *2026-10-31* This app made all the difference in my mental state in the marathon i ran last weekend! Having people cheer me on, in my earbud and follow along in my progress was amazing!! More runners need to know about this, I think it would be a great way to encourage them and improve their race day experience! **Developer response:** Congratulations on your marathon! We're so happy your people could be right there in your ear and follow you all the way. Thank you for letting us join you on such a big day. Hope to see you again soon. ### 5/5 — Loved it *2026-10-30* Used it for my first half marathon and it let my family and friends know where I was at and always gave me a boost when I needed it **Developer response:** Thanks Britta! Congratulations on your first half marathon, what a big day! We're so happy your family and friends could be with you and give you that boost right when you needed it. Thank you for letting us join you. Hope to see you again soon. ### 5/5 — Best Cheer App *2026-10-29* As someone whose family lives out of state but still want to support, this app was perfect. The voice messages came through very clear. I run with music on but then the message came through, the music plays faintly in the background. It just sounded so great. I love this app. And the fact they can “track” you during the race is such an excellent choice as well. **Developer response:** Thank you so much! We're so happy your family could be there with you from out of state, and that you could hear every one of their voices so clearly. Thank you for letting us join you. Hope to see you again soon. ### 5/5 — Half marathon *2026-10-29* I used this app for the half marathon & can truly say it got me through the race! It's so easy to use and hearing those messages was amazing they just played on their own I never touched my phone the whole race! The messages just play automatically at each km I've recommended this app to anyone who's running a race! **Developer response:** Well done on your half marathon! We're so happy you could hear your people all the way with your phone tucked away, and thank you for recommending us to other runners. Thank you for letting us join you on such a big day. Hope to see you again soon. --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/). User reviews are verbatim App Store reviews.
