### 3/5 — Feedback

*2026-08-25, version 5.4.0*

This is an amazing product. The only problem that I have is, is that whenever you get done completing a cooking or if you get some sort of notification you end up getting a whole bunch of notifications still left on your phone and will have the amount notifications left on the app icon. It doesn’t delete the notifications. It’s just a software defect I guess but other than that it’s amazing.

### 3/5 — Where’s the Picanha

*2026-08-21, version 5.4.0*

There needs to be a choice for a Picanha/ sirloin cap

### 4/5 — Accurate and Easy

*2026-08-18, version 5.4.0*

Wow!! Very happy with this product.
I researched a few different brands with no satisfaction. This one was recommended by a friend. I brought it home from Costco and tried it out in my smoker immediately.

Works great!
No annoying wires.
Good battery life.
Nifty case.
Great app!

### 4/5 — Living it so far.

*2026-08-17, version 5.4.0*

I have had the mini oven for almost 2 months now and love using it. I would love to be able to preheat for air frying and a turn over/shake reminder as well. Thank you.

### 4/5 — Weight

*2026-08-12, version 5.4.0*

I wish I could exactly input the weight. The cap on weight limits its ability to be precise.

### 2/5 — Always saying need to charge when I charge it for 1 hr .

*2026-08-09, version 5.4.0*

Disappointed I charged in 20 minutes, always saying needs to charge again disappointed

### 2/5 — Great when it works

*2026-08-09, version 5.4.0*

Probes connect in and out while using making it difficult to do longer cooks. Some cooks are great and other times I can’t get a reading part way through and then it can be intermittent. Overall easy to set up, just not reliable.

### 3/5 — Great

*2026-08-08, version 5.4.0*

Wish it just didn’t disconnect so easily

### 4/5 — Use to work great

*2026-08-04, version 5.4.0*

It is a great product. However something in the phone app continually crashes to the point it doesn’t even open now. I own several products and I love them. The app opens on my computers just not my phone. I don’t get it. Tried to unload it and reloading. No luck. Hope it gets fixed soon.

### 2/5 — Stopped Connecting to Blue Tooth

*2026-08-01, version 5.4.0*

Had Chef IQ wireless thermometers for two years now and they have a full charge, I am using the same phone, but they have stopped connecting to blue tooth. They have instantly turned into unreliable paperweights.

### 2/5 — Decent, but not great

*2026-07-27, version 5.4.0*

I had to reconnect it to the Wi-Fi many times, I was hoping for a more seamless operation.

### 1/5 — Useable, but not intuative

*2026-07-27, version 5.4.0*

The app needs to be more intuitive.

### 1/5 — Used to be good

*2026-07-25, version 5.4.0*

I bought this wireless thermometer and have gotten good results with it.
However, the mandatory app has gone from a useful tool to an obnoxious ad.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Broken Notifications and support is lacking

*2026-08-27, version 5.4.0*

I reached out to support because there is a badge on the app, but nothing in the app to respond to. They told me to disable notifications.

### 1/5 — Battery life

*2026-08-23, version 5.4.0*

The battery does not last long enough for extended cooking. I use for a prime rib and low battery warning came on after 1 hour.

Today tried
To cook a brisket and the probe only lasted a couple hours., and this was with two replacement probes sent by the manufacturer.

### 1/5 — CHEF iQ probes

*2026-08-22, version 5.4.0*

They do not connect very well, and you have to usually disconnect the app and then reconnect the app. I would not recommend.

### 1/5 — App not intuitive at all

*2026-08-17, version 5.4.0*

I have been trying for over a half hour to figure out how to get to manual cooking mode. I searched on Google. I asked ChatGPT and none of the instructions I have been provided have worked. I’m about ready to return this because the only reason I bought it was to use use it for manual cooking. I don’t care about all of the recipes on this app.

### 1/5 — Battery issue

*2026-08-15, version 5.4.0*

Only using these for the second time and it seems that the battery will not take a charge

### 1/5 — Trash

*2026-08-03, version 5.4.0*

Stop connect in two months

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2026-07-31, version 5.4.0*

Probe will not register… what a waste.

### 1/5 — Loses connection

*2026-07-29, version 5.4.0*

This thing loses connection ten or more times during a cook I spend more time reconnecting this pos then I do cooking

### 1/5 — No landscape mode

*2026-07-29, version 5.4.0*

For the love of god, please make your app work in landscape mode on the iPad; it’s 2026. Portrait Orientation Lock is turned off - all my other apps rotate fine.

### 1/5 — Great for 6 months, the dead! No supporting

*2026-07-29, version 5.4.0*

I loved it for the first few months then the battery wouldn’t last through a recipe. Now the base is having the same issue. When I asked for help i was told it was out of warranty.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The best

*2026-08-09, version 5.4.0*

Works like a champ accurate every time

### 5/5 — Finally, a Kitchen Gadget Even I Can Use

*2026-08-09, version 5.4.0*

The Chef iQ thermometer is so easy to use that, honestly, a dummy could figure it out—and I say that as someone who has definitely made some questionable decisions in the kitchen.

I absolutely love the recipe ideas. They’re thoughtful, creative, and, most importantly, actually make you want to cook. The recipes have encouraged me to branch out and try things I normally wouldn’t, including some top-end steak cuts that I probably would have been too nervous to mess up.

But the real MVP moment came at Thanksgiving. We somehow thought we had an extra hour (or more) to cook the turkey. Big surprise… the turkey was always a little dry. Chef iQ completely changed that. Having the thermometer tell me exactly where the meat is and when it’s ready took the guesswork out of cooking—and may have legitimately saved Thanksgiving.

It’s easy to use, the recipes are mouth-watering, and it gives you the confidence to try new things without worrying that you’re going to ruin an expensive piece of meat.

Highly recommend. Even if you’re a dummy in the kitchen.

### 5/5 — Perfect cook

*2026-08-08, version 5.4.0*

IQ probes are awesome, takes the guess work out of a perfect cook every time!

### 5/5 — Great app with one big suggestion

*2026-08-08, version 5.4.0*

Is a very good app and works very well with their hardware. One suggestion for the app, though, is it really needs a widget. Especially a lock screen widget. That would make it so much easier to keep track of probe temperature, etc.

### 5/5 — Awesome System

*2026-08-06, version 5.4.0*

This system works flawlessly. It connects fast and stays connected. Notifications keep you updated on the cooking process of when to flip and then remove to rest and more.
This system has been well worth the extra cost over another system that I returned that had connection issues.
I’m glad that I bought this.

### 5/5 — I actually cook well now

*2026-08-04, version 5.4.0*

Before the probes, cooking on the grill was a struggle. I have to be honest, these probes are one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. Chicken and burgers come out perfect. Absolutely love this purchase.

### 5/5 — Loving it!

*2026-08-03, version 5.4.0*

I should’ve been using this a long time ago my Lord this product is incredible. It will never leave my kitchen.

### 5/5 — Very impressed

*2026-07-21, version 5.4.0*

All I wanted was meat thermometers that worked. These probes go above and beyond. Super impressed with the app and all of the awesome features.

### 5/5 — Grilling ESSENTIAL for perfection!

*2026-07-20, version 5.3.0*

I’ve been grilling for almost 70 years (now 80) and I thought I had everything under control until I started to use Chef IQ. I just finished grilling two whole tenderloins R-MR and these probes and app are amazing. I’ve used them a lot before but don’t usually make such large meals. To say “perfection” would be a gross understatement. I used two probes because front and rear positions vary on the grill and BOTH came out perfectly. ANYONE who wants predictable and EASY results absolutely needs ChefIQ. I’ve tried otters but this is far superior! Bon appetite!

### 5/5 — I love this pot

*2026-07-20, version 5.3.0*

I’ve been using this pot the last 5 years and I absolutely love it, I won’t trade it for the entire world because cooking never was easier than now with the chef IQ
