## What is chekea?

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2.1 — 2026-09-02

### New

- Search for an icon instead of scanning the grid. The icon pickers — for
categories, accounts, goals and groups — now have a search box and are grouped
by theme: money, food, home, transport, leisure, work and health.
- Bank fees are worked out for you. The app uses the BCV's official caps,
which update on the server side. A fee you configured for your account still
wins, but never above the official maximum; and if you configured none, the
right one is now charged instead of nothing.
- You can pay a scanned receipt with a credit card. Only accounts could be
picked before, so a card purchase had to come out of a balance it never left.
With a card it adds to your debt, which is what actually happened.
- The app opens faster — around 17 % less waiting before you can use it.
- Your own categories have colour, like the ones the app ships with. They all
came out the same blue before and were harder to tell apart.
- A shared expense takes an icon so you can recognise it at a glance.
- The app's own keypads vibrate on each key, with a switch in Settings to
turn it off. It is the app's own vibration: your phone's keyboard haptics do
  not need to be on.

### Fixes

- A cancelled goal no longer disappears with your money inside. Cancelling a
goal that held savings hid it across the whole app with no way to see how much
was in it. It now sits at the end of the list, dimmed, and you can open its
  history.
- The app no longer says it created a goal when it did not. It would confirm
"Goal created", the goal did not exist, and the next contribution landed on a
  different one.
- The home screen no longer sometimes fails to load your income and expenses.
- Signing in with another account no longer shows "Your session expired".
- Someone you add to a shared group shows up right away, without refreshing.
- Deleting all your instalment purchases brings the welcome screen back,
instead of leaving zeroed totals and a gap.
- "Make your first deposit" opens the contribution directly. In the emergency
fund and general savings it used to walk you through creating a goal from
scratch — asking for a name, an amount and a deadline for something already
  defined.
- A loan with nothing paid no longer shows a full progress bar.
- In the scanner, each account shows its own icon and colour instead of all
  of them looking the same.
- In a shared expense, the per-person amounts line up and have more room
  inside the box.
- The button to write a loan off makes sense now: it was a crossed-out
  circle, which read as "cancel".
- On an empty screen, the illustration no longer pushes the button out of
  view on small phones.
- The create button no longer appears twice when the goals list is empty.
- While they load, the shared accounts and instalment screens show the shape
they are about to take, so nothing jumps when the data arrives.
