## What is Cherri Shortcuts?

Cherri Shortcuts lets you write Apple Shortcuts as code. Type a script in Cherri, a compiled language for Shortcuts, tap Compile, and export a working shortcut straight into the Shortcuts app.

WRITE
• A code editor built for Cherri, with syntax highlighting and your choice of font and size
• An actions picker with parameter help and quick insert
• Actions for third-party apps, including Scriptable, Pythonista, Menu Box and Craft

COMPILE
• Compiles right on your device, so your code stays on your phone while you work
• Clear error messages that point to what went wrong

EXPORT
• Sign and export your finished shortcut, then tap Shortcuts in the share sheet to add it
• Export uses a signing service so the Shortcuts app will accept the file

CHERRI PREMIUM (optional, one-time purchase)
Extra editor themes and alternate app icons. No subscription. The editor, compiler and every action stay free.

Cherri is an open-source language created by electrikmilk. This is an independent app and is not affiliated with Apple. Source code is on GitHub.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-29

New: Import. Paste a Shortcuts iCloud link, or choose Cherri Shortcuts in the Shortcuts app's share sheet, and the shortcut turns back into Cherri code you can edit, compile and export. Not every action is supported yet, and the editor will warn you about any it can't convert. The Settings toggle Show Import Tip is now called Show Export Tip, since it reminds you what to tap after Export.

### 1.0 — 2026-10-28
