They market fun games and I enjoy them. Their excuse is that they’re not in charge of the games and they’re not responsible for updating them, that they’re just the company who markets them. Chess960 has 960 different possible starting board layouts. The scrambled setup makes gaining an advantage through the memorization of openings impracticable; players instead must rely more on their spontaneous talent and creativity over the board.
