When I Turned My IPad In The Variant Maker It Resets. Same Goes For In App Variants But The Variant Will Go Back To It’s Original Form. Will You Update This App Please😊♟️ ### 2/5 — An sich nicht schlecht… *2026-03-19, version 3.2.1* …aber auch nicht gut. Die App löscht ständig meine Einstellungen, wenn ich sie beendet habe. Immer wieder ist der Ton an, immer wieder wird alles zurück gesetzt. Das ist so nervig. Außerdem sehr schlecht programmiert. Die KI spielt auch nicht gut oder überhaupt normal, sie spielt einfach dumm. Verspielt alle Figuren, ohne zu denken. ### 2/5 — Captured piece sometimes still shows on square *2025-08-27, version 3.2.1* Web and mobile app both have a glitch that when you capture a piece and then move away from the square where the piece was captured, it still shows the picture of the piece on the square. The piece no longer is part of the game but you have to continue to see the picture of it on the square. ### 3/5 — Suggestion *2025-04-18* Can you increase the board size so that I can create a hexagonal board with 9 spaces to a side? It mostly succeeds, but there are elements of the interface that could do with some polish, and it would be nice to see some articles on designing chess variants, and explaining some of the less intuitive elements of the interface. ### 4/5 — Really good app, only few things i dislike *2024-11-15, version 2.7.1* 1. No circular chess. 2. Piece making is a bit complicated, and you cant add some rules to the piece (like in chesscraft) 3. Completely normal variant's i make cant get published for some reason ### 3/5 — Excellent game, kind of a scam, all bugs. *2024-06-03, version 2.4.0* At its base Omnichess is an excellent game, going out on a limb to attempt something almost unique, and certainly challenging to implement, and amazingly almost succeeding. Unfortunately it's also broken and probably has been for some time. I would say that it's still worth it despite its faults, just about, but expect many parts of the app to respond only sometimes, or refresh confusingly resulting in loosing your newly created content, more problematically expect systems such as submitting levels to publish, the password reset server, and the system that makes anything subscription based to happen beyond taking payment from your card to be altogether dead, probably permanently. ### 4/5 — Needs Update *2024-05-26, version 2.4.0* This app is amazing! Except it doesn’t work. The save button when you make a variant doesn’t work. Please fix this! ### 2/5 — Still not polished *2024-05-26, version 2.4.0* Even after triple checking that everything in my variant is correct and accounted for, I still see a validation error. It’s supposed to tell me what the error is, but it doesn’t (because there aren’t any actually—it just thinks there’s one). I recently downloaded your app and have been enjoying it for the most part. However, I have noticed that when I try to type in it on my mobile device, the app seems to break down. I understand that this may be due to the limitations of my device, but I was wondering if there were any solutions to this issue. I also downloaded the app specifically to create a chess variant, which is one of its main features. Unfortunately, this issue has made it difficult to fully utilize that feature. I wanted to express my frustration but also thank you for creating a great app. I hope that you may be able to provide some guidance or assistance on this matter. At least you don’t have to pay to make your own variants like Chess Remix, but this one crashing every time doesn’t make it much different. Also, if you don’t choose to let it send you notifications (where it says they won’t spam you), it’ll spam you in the app instead that you should turn on notifications. Additionally, there is such a huge difference between the Easy AI and the Medium AI. I love having the freedom to craft my own chess experience! However, I find the app’s complexity a bit overwhelming. There are so many features and options that it can be hard to navigate, especially when choosing piece movements or setting up variations. I choose chess on the matchmaker and then it starts a game of a different variant. I don’t get the option to accept or decline, it’s starts automatically even though it’s a variant I don’t want to play 2. Every game I have just accepted to play, as I want to earn some coins, I end up sitting there waiting for white to make a move. If I’m white I wait 5 minutes. Why do these “humans” not make a move? This is making the app useless to me 3. Not a bug but if you want to earn coins to unlock more “pieces” you will need to wait a lot of 5 minutes games as you only get 2 coins per game win and each piece cost hundreds to unlock. ### 1/5 — Broken *2024-01-23, version 2.4.0* Tried multiplayer and it doesn't work correctly.
