I wish you would switch it back to username and password or at least give that option. It’s no longer user-friendly. ### 1/5 — So frustrating *2026-01-14* The “updated” app feels like I’m using an operating system from 1999. So archaic and glitchy. Keeps logging me out and then I need to find my card which is the whole point of an app, not to need your card. I search for books I know the library has and it yields the most random results. A lot of the photos are gone of book covers. Everytime I mess with it I waste time and end up frustrated. When scanning my card bar it scans three wrong numbers before it gets it correct. The same with my pin: I have to enter it three or four times for it to accept it. Constantly gives no available for anything I input. It glitches adding holds on those rare times when it accepts a search. Please either fix this app or bring the old version back. Having to reenter my library card every couple of days along with my kids is frustrating. Is it a glitch or a security feature? I personally don’t need this if it’s security. It’s overly cautious. Instead give me an option to store library cards in the app and give me a username login option that I can remember. ### 1/5 — Not working *2026-01-05, version 2025.44* I use this app weekly if not daily, however it won’t let me log in or do anything. I no longer have the physical card. This is maddening. Is there any way to revert to the previous version? ### 1/5 — Really bad *2026-01-01* I was able to log in the first day, not today. Clicking the search takes you to a login but it says scan barcode and doesn’t mention you’re logging in, what barcode am I scanning and why? When I was able to log in the scan barcode pops up, which is great if I wanted to scan for an ISBN, but unintuitive if I wanted to search by title or author, you have to close out of the scan page and behind it is the search by word feature. The app also crashed when searching the first time. This app would be better if it just mirrored the website, or have the user more clues as to what is going on for each screen. The new list feature stops working if you try to add a second item to the list. Same old bug of login issues even if my credentials works via the browser it does not work via the app. I feel the QA process needs a total revamp before releasing an app update. Very disappointing. ### 1/5 — Useless *2026-01-24, version 2025.44* The new app requires you to sign in every time, which completely defeats the purpose of having an app. What a horrible update. This has caused me to stop borrowing books because it’s too much of a hassle to look them up to find their location or put them on hold. ### 1/5 — Always Logs Me Out *2026-01-21, version 2025.44* The app looks nice, but it does not save your card number and you have to log in every time. I used the previous app as my primary library card. In addition, I had to create a PIN, which became another tedious process. I can log in with my credentials on the CC library website but never works on the app ### 1/5 — Terrible update and no response *2026-01-20* As others have mentioned the app doesn’t let you stay logged in (no point in using it) and when you try to sign in with your online borrower number and pin it rejects it (but works on the website). So the app is not functional. The easy access to library card barcode (especially with auto increase of screen brightness & contrast for easy scanning) and linked accounts is great. Being able to see checkouts, holds, fines etc… across all linked accounts is fantastic. It would all be wonderful and a five star review if It didn’t keep logging me out. Previously when I did log in, it wouldn’t track my check outs, holds. Etc… And now I can’t even log back in. It’s completely unusable to me. Fix the bugs and it’s five stars. ### 1/5 — It’s a shame *2026-01-16, version 2025.44* Please bring back the previous version. This is so called updated app is completely useless and it’s hard to imagine how this kind of quality can be accepted by the library. ### 1/5 — Can’t choose branch *2026-01-15* This new update is even worse than the last one. Always logs you out and doesn’t let you log on with correct login info that works on the website. When you try to reserve an item with the app, the item location sets for the home branch of the item. You aren’t able to change the pickup location. For example, if a book I want is at Chester County and I try to have it delivered to Easttown, I am not able to do so. Please fix this! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — An extremely useful tool *2026-02-20* I’m really impressed by the amount of functionality they packed into the app. This is the library app that I’ve used that wasn’t just basic book lookup. It has been stable, and every feature has worked flawlessly. Honestly, this is great work. ### 5/5 — At least found my account *2026-02-08* Improvement that finally allowed me to find my account! But now needs to memorize my account number in order to login every time… ### 5/5 — It is great after update!! *2026-01-28* Finally, the review comments were heard loud and clear. The app is back at keeping the login info saved so no more zillion times of entering the user name/pins. I do like the easy searching for library events and activities, but I miss the basic functionality of the former version. Update: as of spring 2026, many of these problems have been corrected. The list feature works now and is a good way to track books and the app is better about staying logged in. ### 4/5 — Nice App *2020-01-14* Nice improvement on the previous app but one thing that is missing are the operating hours for each library. This is something the prior app showed but this one is lacking. ### 4/5 — Big Update! *2019-12-16* I’ve been searching around this app and it is a big improvement over the last one! I especially love the ability to renew multiple books at a time. Some things that could improve: -Once signed in to databases and Flipster, keep it signed in. I never have my library card on me to continually put in the number just to use those resources. -Have events able to be filtered by location and easier to access different dates. Scrolling through a ton of events on one day just to find one you want at a certain library is a pain. Also, I’m not sure if this is available yet - but allow registration for events on here too (though maybe it does that already). Overall a big improvement! I’d really appreciate if the new one offered the option to stay logged in, as the old one always did, especially considering that the new app frequently says that it’s unable to process my login info. I’m positive I have the correct number and pin because it works sometimes and works on the website. Please keep working on the new app. :) I don’t care about fancy, I just would like to stay logged in and be able to use the functions the old app had.
