I love the way Chestr is set up but unfortunately it only works about half the time. Whether the Chrome extension or the “add” button in the app will actually add a product to my list is truly a toss up on any given day.

I love this app normally but there are three issues:
1. Right now the scrapper isn’t working on the iPhone app. I can’t seem to save any links to my list anymore.
2. I really wish the Home Screen and default list was more editable. Seeing a dumping ground of everything I’ve ever added to a wishlist isn’t useful and incredibly chaotic. I would rather be able to select a default list or all to load, rather than having to navigate to my main list every time I open the app/website.
3. I don’t want apps who put my friend’s lists as the home page. It’s another click of navigating away from the main functionality of the app that adds to irritation.

Been saving things to Chestr from my phone and my desktop for months only to find out that everything I thought I saved isn’t actually in there because the app doesn’t work anymore. Time to start over with a new one.

I was so happy to have found this, it’s exactly what i needed. But the app doesn’t work. I just downloaded and things just won’t save even though it says they do

Website seems convenient, but adding items to my folders doesn’t work on the mobile app. I tried adding directly from Safari and pasting the link to the item into the appropriate spot in the app. Neither worked.

So the easiest way to use this app would be to use the browser extension and send an item directly to the app. Well, every time I’ve tried to use it, the extension takes forever to load and then just glitches out and does nothing. I’ve trained uninstalling the app and reinstalling and still nothing. There’s potential if these things could be fixed.

**Developer response:** Hi GodSpeedAhead – 100% you were right. When we released the V1, the scrapper had a bunch of issues for many users. We took the app out of App Store and worked on it for the past three months to improve it. While the iPhone app is still in Beta — now it should work much better, and it's also synchronized to the Chestr browser extension! Hope you give us another chance. :)

I love the idea of this app, but it literally does not work. I followed the instructions for both ways to add items to my lists and it does not add them.

Everything seemed to be working fine when I’d save items only to find out weeks later all my chests were empty, pretty annoying. Love the idea of it and exactly what I was looking for in an app like this. Willing to see if they fix it but not looking like it will be maintained.

The app is VERY particular about what links it decides it likes and doesn’t like. Half the time I submit the link and it just vanishes immediately, never to return. Also the share button feature doesn’t work for me at all. It does not see any of my created sections, and if I submit it it never appears in the app. So I’ve been copy pasting every link into the app, which works about 60% of the time. The rest of the time the link will not be added and refuses to be added. Doesn’t matter if the same brand and store had a different item that works. Some of them simply don’t. Over the last 2 days I reached out to contact support, and every time I did the messages to them deleted like they had never been sent and I never got a reply.
This is the best layout I’ve seen for this concept and I was very excited about it. I so hope they fix it and I can use it how it’s meant to be used, or at least can reliably copy paste links and have them successfully remain on the app.

Nice idea but majorly buggy. Only saves an item less than 50% of the time, across different stores, via url or on-site. No manual way to save things when it’s not working. Perhaps current version just has a bug, but as it stands, unusable.

this soo is aesthetic and is super good for organising your things. you can make folders and sort your things out aswell as see the total of how much all your products cost, really recommend, i tried finding more shopping apps but they can’t beat this one.

Chestr makes keeping track of purchases, orders, and wish lists so much easier. No more baskets in different browsers which I constantly forget to check out - until I realize I’ve run out and then stress buy the first thing I see that could do the job (which might not be what I had initially planned when I first did my research on the purchase). I also love how I can get inspo from friends purchases, by checking items on their wish lists. It’s so easy to use, and the idea behind it is brilliant!!!!

I have been using this little handy app for a few weeks now and it seems to do everything it promises! The functionality is very easy to use and understand and it isn’t too “fancy” for people who aren’t very tech savvy.

The only downside I have noticed so far is that if you are trying to add multiple screenshots at once or upload a screenshot directly from your gallery to the app, it can be a bit glitchy and not as smooth as it could be. 

Other than that! It’s awesome
