## What is Chevio?

Track calories and macros without the busywork — and finally count the food you actually cook.

Most trackers are built around packaged food. Chevio is built around your kitchen. Add a recipe and it works out the nutrition per serving and per 100 g, so a plate of your own cooking logs as easily as a barcode.

FREE, FOR GOOD
Logging, recipes, the shopping list, the health scores and the widgets stay free forever. The AI is the only part that needs Pro.

LOG FOOD IN SECONDS
• Search generic and branded foods
• Scan a barcode
• Not in the database? Add it once and the next scan finds your version
• Save your own foods with brand, macros and optional detail like fibre, sugars and sodium
• A health score (Nutri-Score) on every food and recipe, with the reasons behind it

EVERY RECIPE, COUNTED
• Nutrition per serving and per 100 g
• Cooked-weight adjustment, so the grams mean what you actually weighed
• Log by weight, or by whole portions when there's no scale to hand
• Left an ingredient out? Drop it from that portion — your recipe stays untouched
• Link an ingredient to another of your recipes and jump straight to it while cooking
• Write recipes yourself, step by step, in sections

SEE WHERE YOU STAND
• A clear ring for the day's calories, with protein, carbs and fat
• Your day broken down by meal
• Weight trend with a projected date for reaching your goal
• Average intake against target across 7, 30 or 90 days
• Home screen widgets for today's numbers and what's left to buy

THE SHOPPING LIST
• Add anything — foil, vitamins, a birthday card. It doesn't have to be food
• Or add a food and keep its brand and barcode for the shop
• Tick things into the trolley as you go

WITH CHEVIO PRO — THE AI
• Describe a meal in a sentence and it works out the foods and the amounts
• Photograph your plate instead of typing it
• Recipes that write themselves — from a photo, a link, or a sentence
• Paste a blog, or a YouTube, TikTok or Instagram video, and get the recipe with the nutrition worked out
• Healthify: swaps ingredients for lighter ones and shows you what you saved
• Generate a photo for any recipe

YOURS, EVERYWHERE
• Works without an account at all
• Or sign in passwordlessly — a six-digit code by email, no password to forget
• Your food, recipes and progress sync across your devices
• Fully translated in English and Greek

Chevio doesn't nag or gamify. It counts what you eat, and gets out of the way.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.3 — 2026-10-01

- A recipe link saved for later now tells you when it needs Chevio Pro, and you can remove it

### 1.3.2 — 2026-09-30

- Editing a logged recipe: the ingredient list shows your portion's amounts, and they add up to the total
- An amount you type there counts exactly as typed

### 1.3.1 — 2026-09-25

- Burned counts your steps, not just resting burn
- Burned bar: estimated apart from measured
- A glass logged on one device adds to the others
- A deleted recipe stays deleted
- Logging a recipe: a cleaner list, no thumbnails
- A spinner by the date while changes come in
- Water: a − next to +250 takes a glass back
- Widget: the glass shows at once
- Shared recipe links open again
- Shared list opens the list you joined, not your own
- A slow wake can no longer blank your diary and Recents

### 1.3.0 — 2026-09-03

- Custom targets: set calories and two macros, the third fills the gap
- Progress: eaten, burned, weight and water on one screen, with your daily balance
- Garmin through intervals.icu - weight and workout calories import themselves
- Water widget logs a glass without opening the app, and every tap now lands
- Today: what you burned against what you ate, in one bar
- Sync: edits on two devices at once no longer overwrite each other

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-29

- Share a recipe as plain text - ingredients, steps and calories land readable in any chat, no app needed
- Tap a share link to copy it, and the share text copies too where a clipboard exists
- Opening a diary entry now shows exactly what you logged, even after the recipe changed
- In Settings, Save only lights up when something actually changed - and goals edited on another device show up without reopening the screen
